A compilation video live performances from Jazz Tour and audio of the original vinyl LP, 1979 Video from Live Brussels, Belgium 1979 and 8mm Film from St. Paul, Minnesota, United States, 1980
Brighton Rrrrock jams. The very first song my needle landed on in 1974. Viny, first QUEEN LP I purchased and ... OMG. Live and studio versions are phenominal💥💛❗👏
Listened to this on my brother's album on his stereo in early 80s. I had headphones on loud as they'd go. Sitting in front to the side of a small trailer. My Dad was trying to watch TV, and said I could listen to it. I had them so loud he could hear it and told me to cut it down. Then turning it up slowly to where looking at him I could tell he heard, then cut it back down. The next morning he went to the store I rushed in and rocked the walls till he came pulling in from the store. Thanks Brian for an awesome listening experience.
@@robphilpott43 Yes, of course you're right. I didn't mean for my comment to be misconstrued as me taking anything away from the brilliant performance of Brian May.
all brians great guitar work was for the betterment of songs thats what i love and the fabulous things that came from his mind down to his fingers magic
One of the best guitar player in the world. He made such melodic solo's and still can rock. Who ever made such guitar playing with those delays. Tell me?
3 songs that will always be the staple of Queen, atleast to us true fans. 1. The March Of The Black Queen (often referred to as the Bohemian Rhapsody before Bohemian Rhapsody). 2. Bohemian Rhapsody and 3 Innuendo
steve billing yeah my dad got to see Queen at Wembley when theybdid the live release for £15 and people outsode were offering £300 to him. he turned that away and saw Queen dominate London haha!
I saw them in 1979 at the lyceum I think the ticket was £7.50 what a night, never to be forgotten... As for Knebworth I was given a ticket for Zeppelin could not afford to get there my paper round didn't pay enough.. oh well. :0
I remember paying £30 for the Wembley 86 gig which included coach travel from Swansea with Derricks records, I dragged my mate along who was an Iron Maiden fan and not really into Queen but I persuaded him to spend his money on a ticket. Halfway through the gig he turned to me and said "this is f*** awesome, best concert ever" He wasn't wrong 🤘😊
@@mrpepperman i saw them on that tour at the glasgow apollo on dec 1st and it was £4.50! the lightshow was probably i think their best ever, they were fantastic live 👑✊🇬🇧
Saw this tour at Glasgow Apollo 1979, unbelievable, Brian was on stage for over 2 hours solid. Can anyone remember what song Freddie was singing when he was carried out on Superman's shoulders, I can never remember.
That's nice! Just to say, Glasgow was the next tour (Crazy Tour). This is the Jazz Tour. You're very lucky to see Queen! Were you at the first or second night? (November 30, 1979 or December 1, 1979?)
I'm sorry Led Zeppelin, Ac DC but Queen can do much better and never the same... even if they do keep their sound and stamp they always changed something that's why for me and many people they are the most important band because they were more than rock or pop Queen was art and music even if radio stations and some countries banned their music after 1981/82 they were always around created what they wanted not what public or the media wanted to hear .. true legends

John Deacon used to throw peanuts to Brian May whilst he did his guitarsolo. I havent got a clue why he did that. Must be something to do with being the bassplayer, I guess. Mind you, John was an outstanding bassplayer.
Happy little day, Jimmy went away Met his little Jenny on a public holiday A happy pair they made, so decorously laid 'Neath the gay illuminations all along the promenade "It's so good to know there's still a little magic in the air I'll weave my spell" "Jenny will you stay, tarry with me pray Nothing 'ere need come between us tell me love, what do you say?" "Oh no I must away to my Mum in disarray If my mother should discover how I spent my holiday It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air I'll say farewell" Oh Rock of Ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still Oh Lady Moon, shine down a little people magic if you will Jenny pines away, writes a letter everyday "We must ever be together, nothing can my love erase" "Oh no I'm compromised, I must apologize If my lady should discover how I spent my holiday Ooo hoo hoo Ooo hoo hoo
I don't think there was actually a video for this recording. The video was pieced together painstakingly from other performances. No two live renditions were exactly the same so the effects and time variations help to make the whole thing for together as smoothly as possible
Holy fuck, this is the holy grail of queen.. with seven seas of rhye magic this, the original QUEEN...
Best version, BRIGHTON ROCK 💯

One of my favorite versions of one my favorite Queen songs ever. Just amazing
Can't argue with that. It's brilliant. Brian looks and plays amazing 🎸👏

The greatest band ever
A 12 minute Brighton Rock with Brian's extended solo?
Yeah, I'll listen to that.
What a killer track. (:
One of the best of Queen
GOLD PURE GOLD!!!
Utterly brilliant performance. It still pains me to think Freddie isn't with us anymore.
The one, the only. There will be another Freddie. We were beyond lucky to have had the one we had.
I’d suggest Brian is the star of the show here.

What a Sound !!! I LOVE IT !

The best song and best performance of Queen ever. This was in the time when live concerts were not just albums on great soud systems.

Gold!!! What a great find
Brian kills it here with that guitar. What a legend.
That guitar work changed my life!!!

Blew my mind first time I heard it!
Brian may and counter point harmony- on headphones 1979 blew my brain out!!
Yours and mine both
The Jazz Tour concert in Saarbrücken was the first concert I've ever been. Price about 9 Euro. I saw this performance and it was so GREAT.
Thank you so much for sharing! Did you record it on tape or take any pictures? Thanks!
love the bach theme played by guitar - awesome!
which minute?
psypunk66 not as good as 'three blind mice' at Earls Court '77
Forever Gänsehaut
Those dudes weren't simply fantastic musicians, they figured out how to play for total showmanship, & sound absolutely AMAZING in so doing!
OMG this is so good
Hammer Teil
I never thought i'd see this. Amazingly well done!
How does this have only 31,000 views?
Wasn't ever a commercial hit so people won't know about it. Such a shame :(
cause its not an official video

Second best queen song ever.....after "Now i`m here".
Best song ever has to be 'The show must go on'. Absolute class and a message to us all that Queen will live on forever in our hearts

Supremo
Brian May plays a duet with himself
Don Coryall played a duet and a trio with himself on trumpet in 1968. Maybe this was May's inspiration for this great performance,
Lo malo es que en CZcams no está el concierto de live killers en video si existe pero son partes del tour como por Madrid o paris
Mannn!!!
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain who miraculously changed out Roger’s bass drum head in the middle of Brian’s solo.
Is this rhe only live BRIGHTON ROCK version? WTH.. Cameraman missed Freddie's return to stage to finish the song. Boo. That tune is badass.
No, it's been on all of their tours from 1975 to 1979 in some way or another.
