Is there any way to get the camera end to twist and turn in say a wall cavity or around a pipe?

You can't actually control the camera. You can bend it & it will more or less stay in that position. It'd quite flexible so you can manoeuvre it easily. You can flip camera view 180° I think I forgot to mention that.
