NatterNet Buckethead Hey
NatterNet Buckethead I want a Signature Gibson but I cannot afford one that comes up on ebay
NatterNet Buckethead Or I could add a kill switch to my current guitar
Jamie Horne Let me know if it works! I tried that once in the days before youtube and "how to" videos, completely f'd my guitar up (which was a shitty cheap fender anyway, but still)
@@NatterNet Actually adding a killswitch on a guitar is a rather simple modification. You just need to solder the 2 wires of the switch to the 2 wires of the output jack of the guitar regardless of the order. When you press the switch it shorts the output and there's no signal coming out. Added one on my Ibanez. Works with no issues. Thanks for the great video, although I do not agree about acoustic guitars being less cool))
I saw him play a show in Santa Barbara California in a little hole in the wall bar with a Guild SG style guitar. It still had the hang tag on the headstock. Somewhere Iâm sure I still have the show I recorded. That was the night I actually met him and had a long conversation. One of the the best nights of my life.
During 90s? Back in 1990, I thought buckethead was chasin hynie
I, personally, love his white signature Gibson
The only white guitar Iâd like to own for myself. Donât normally like white guitars.
Mine is that white Jackson King V.
It's probably the thickest bodied les paul out there with hot rodded pickups and a kill switch!
So does everyone else, thatâs why a used one with cracks and chips everywhere is 10k when they sold for wha, $800 new?
I am a fan of the all white signature gibson, it fit his style very well. But I also loved the Jackson V stage. Very monumental guitar all on its own
Please Epiphone, release a Buckethead size Les Paul.
That would be schweeet!...And affordable!...And probably better than a Chibson haha Woo!!
well I feel like at this pt Buckethead is too niche now that its been a while Buckethead was in a mainstream, big-time band..... but one can only hope
In a leftyđžđ
U want the real Gibson, trust me...just fork out the cash...pick & play a few b4 purchase...
@@ep8470 Yeah ok, I have 7-8K for a Buckethead Gibson..lolol
Blue Marbles Moon is a good song choice for such a lengthy video. This video was very well put together. đ
Thank you my good, man (and for the intro on Drowned Boys vid). Big Woo's for the BD. Woo!!
Took me like 2 months to find out the song
thanks I was searching this song
Is it just that one whole song throughout in the background?
That's a Framus six string banjo. Awesome video Natternet. Woo!
YES!! Excellent! I spent bloody ages trying to find that banjo, was sure it started with an F but never came across a Framus, just a bunch of Fenders. Woo!!
@@NatterNet Very likely tuned like a guitar.
@@PatCrowe Yep.
I have a '56 Framus Electric 6 string guitar, funky face plate in colored bakelite.
Framus Texan Banjo more specifically; production apparently ended in 1977. Keep up the awesome work, NatterNet.
Great little history lesson as you show a nice timeline of Buckethead's music career.
I am one of the lucky ones that has seen him live several times before the stint with guns and roses. And then after with increased fan attendance.
Many of the concert goers were dumbfounded that he could wear the mask through the whole show and be able to play so fluently and shredmazing.
It is just incredible dedication that he has stayed in character for so long. But his versatility exceeds his character. Triple amazing.... Woo!!!
It's not just a mask..
It's a statement.. To the man.
The sound he produces on the (amplified) acoustic guitars, especially on that Takamine, is phenomenal. I never heard anything like it.
You deserve money for these videos, doing gods work man
Whatever bucket heads playing, Iâm listening, canât wait til he comes around again
Being a Humungous Fan I had to rush to be front row and center at the Token Lounge in Westland Michigan April 27th, 2019 ! & It luckily was a small venue and that amazing day too my birthday gift that I will truly treasure forever as my favorite to remember as I actually got to touch that beautiful white Gibson Les Paul & the red killer switch on the bottom of his guitar
that he so sweetly let all of us fans in the front row touch and omgosh that truly was such a mindblowing concert ! It truly was a huge surreal moment in time in my life for a dream to truly come true and I could have died happy just seeing him/ Buckethead but also of course hearing his awesome riffs and shreds and after being mesmerized and hypnotized that truly was the best gift, concert and experience ever!!!!đ¶đâ€
Buckethead proves that the speed of sound is faster than the speed of light
Hell yeah! Well said.
My favorite guitar of buckethead is The Purple ESP M-II
My Too
Same i like that tone of purple
This video is fantastically well documented! Amazing stuff, man. Loved it! WOO!
Thankyou my brother, much appreciated. Woo!!
That guitar at 13:11 is actually a Vigier Excalibur, the signature model of Mr. Shawn Lane. :)
Yeah a few people have said its a Vigier, I'm not sure if its the actual Shawn signature series tho, think they put that out a bit later. But highly likely he used it because of Shawn being an endorser/player of them. Woo!!
The 1999 devil dub band 'green strat' is a Vigier, they are a french company most likely (for Americans) known for working with Shawn Lane. It looks like Buckethead is using one of the Excalibur models, and noting their rare American appearances he was probably shown the company's gear by Lane.
Yeah good spot man, someone else said that too. He must have got it the same time he got the Vigier bass (mentioned in the vid). Wonder why he only used it live once or twice.
also Ron Thal/Bumblefoot also uses Vigier guitars, including double neck guitars and what not
I love him his style and personality. Hes entertaining as hell.
Damn right . Woo!!
Wow. This video a incredible. Imagine all the time & resources you would have to research and go through. Thank you đ
You really got me good with Herbie out of nowhere haha. Love this channel, truly. Thank you for all the effort you put into covering one of the all-time greats
The guitar featured on the shows with Ben Wa (and perhaps the 'Devil Dub' album itself) was a Vigier Excalibur...the same guitar Shawn Lane endorsed before his untimely passing.
Saw Him at Orlando House Of Blues Last year "2019", He had his signature Les Paul, Absolutely amazing show
The green guitar at 6:15 is a custom first series ESP Horizon with the
Jackson lawsuit headstock.
Someone else said that a while back but could never find it, is there an exact match (pic or link) u have of one?
I put 2 Dimarzio X2Ns in my Jackson Rhoads because of the chicken V.. I love it
Hell yeah!! Woo!!
I wish they had AlNiCo magnets instead of ceramic.
The green start used once is a Vigier Guitar, most likely an Excalibur
Yes, seems to be. A few people have said that now. Possibly a nod to Shawn Lane. Woo!!
Not only was I in attendance the evening of 30 April 1997 when he opened for Helborg/Lane/Sipe at Wetlands, NYC, I had the fortune of meeting him backstage after the show. That said, I will always have fond memories of his purple, neck-thru ESP.
-He even signed my ticket stub with a character of himself...photo upon request.-
Cheers,
B
Can I see a picture of it please? :O
Dj Qberts wave twisters!! My God I loved that growing up. I didn't find out until much later that that was buckethead!
Your videos are always a joy. The entertainment, the information, the "fuck yeahs" and of course.... the Woos âđ» Always appreciated my friend. Woo!!
Thankyou, brother. I really appreciate that. Woo!!
The KFC V will always be the coolest. And the Sig Les Paul.
I never played such a comfortable guitar though and I really do miss my V.
I' ve been waiting for this video , thx so much NatterNet !
Thankyou my friend. Woo!!
I and many other bucket's fan appreciate you brother. good work
thankx alot. love your work
Thank you my good friend, thats very much appreciated. Woo!!
Kaiserâs Gift- aww so sweet. What a nice guy
Great video, especially for the guitar nerds like myself!
Thankyou, friend. Woo!!
i love all of his guitars but his heartfield talon 2 and his air jordan and his white gibson guitars are my most favorite i can't decide over them which i like more but all his guitars are awesome no wrong choices at all
I like the custom shop buckethead (new one )
Love that Gibson the most, and it looks like an albino ocean creature. My first guitar was a purple/pearl Kramer in 1987. Thank you, thank you Natter. wooooooo! ( I always say woo but it's longer woooooooh)
"Albino Ocean Creature" haha how is that not the name of a Buckethead song?!...and you can't extend the Woo to more than two oo's or it becomes a Ric Flair haha Woo!!
@@NatterNet Coopwood. That wat she said. Haha wooooooooo
Haha Woo and Wooooo!!
My favourite has to be the KFC Jackson.
Same here. Woo!!
These vids are awesome NatterNet. Thank you for all you do âĄïžđž woo
My pleasure, friend. Thank you for watching, its always appreciated. Woo!!
i think he was the guy behind that chicago television hijacking max headroom thing.
I have seen the ESP "Air Jordan" hanging in the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL. It used to be on the casino floor. There was a large circular bar at the center of the casino floor, which had spiral ramps going up the sides to the bar about 6 feet higher than the casino floor. The Air Jordan was in a case (likely the one picture) as you went up one of the spiral ramps. That was probably about 10 years ago thought that I saw it there. The new guitar shaped hotel/casino only opened a few months before COVID-19 shutdowns, so, I haven't been there recently. Likely going to be hard to find unless you ask someone or do a lot of searching, because they have guitars and memorabilia everywhere in that hotel....to/from parking garages, hotel lobby, Hard Rock Cafe restaurant, on casino floor, etc.
What a great comprehensive vid, well done NatterNet - loved it!
Thank you my friend, much appreciated.
Another great video my friend. My personal favorite is the Les Paul, I just love the tone of that guitar. Itâs the sound of rock. Fuck yeah! Woo!
Thankyou, friend. And yes, its a beautiful guitar, made all the more so by its Master. Woo!!
Yep, Les Paul guitars have a very distinct sound.
this video is always so refrshing, thank you so much for this!
I found your channel just a few days ago, and I've been on a massive binge since then !
AMAZING work my good man !!
Thank you, friend. Enjoy the ride! Woo!!
Unknown emerald green guitar is probably an early 90's ESP Horizon (not all ESP's have their logo on 12th fret) with erased logo on headstock. Lower horn is definitely a Horizon.
That sg sounded really good
He does the best Starwars covers.
Maybe its coz of that Jedi DNA? Woo!!
I believe this is a Framus banjo.
Ok, I see someone confirmed that already.
Anyway, great video! I am waking up in 5hours but still watching Buckethead video's at night...
Yeah man, so glad people spotted that. I had an idea it started with an F but all google wanted to show me was Fender Banjos haha...and thanks for watching late at night, its the only way to do it haha Woo!!
@@NatterNet I remember (well sorta) that ages ago someone made a banjotar (if not mistaken)
that was a six string banjo tuned like a guitar (surprise, surprise!) made to appeal to guitar players.
I'm not 100% sure that Framus was the original but if not they obviously jumped on the bandwagon, small as it was.
Funny that it never caught on seeing how popular the banjo is in Djent these days ;)
...yeah it's late and I'm just making corny comments. Great video as always and really enjoyed it.
Great info and awsome video. Thanks again Natter! I love the Gibson Studio because thats what lve seen him play.
Thankyou, friend. Yeah he seems the most comfortable too with that Gibson. Woo!!
Another fascinating video . Keep up the good work. Woo !
Thank you, friend. Woo!!
More power to this channel! More power to you sir.
My Man Buckethead Can Rock On Any Guitar!
Blue Marbles Moon on the background
Yes!! Horrible fan title but awesome awesome song. Woo!!
Thankyou
The green strat mentioned at 13:10 is probably a Vigier Excalibur
correct
Woo!
Woo!!
Epic documentary. Great work đđŒ
very nice and informative video! Thanks natter. woo!
My pleasure, friend. Woo!!
What a great video! Thx Natterđ§ââïž
Thank you, friend. Woo!!
this was a really well done video :)
Great story about that sunburst strat. Shawn lane was present at that show and the reason he played it is because Shawn got it for like 70 bucks in a guitar store. He made buck play it to prove that you should be able to shred on anything. As shawn would often show up to shows without a guitar and buy a cheap one before. You can still see the price tag strings hanging off the headstock.
Yes, Shawn was at the Wetlands show with Bucket.
Cool story about Shawn getting it, where's it from? never heard it before and always like to verify this stuff.
@@NatterNet I read it about 17 years ago on binge and grab or some forum site. Someone had linked a bunch of scanned magazine articles and that tale was one of them. I will dig around to see if I can find them. They will probably be on archive sites.
Cool, would love to see it if you find it. Hard to imagine Shawn doing that.
@@NatterNet it is not that hard to comprehend two friends having a bit of a joke with a 70 dollar guitar.
Its hard to imagine Shawn wanting to "test" Buckethead after knowing him for about 5 years already, seems silly and seems unlikely they would've made that public anyway. Buckethead also used the strat for around 2 weeks after that when shawn wasn't even at the gigs anymore (iron horse being one of the shows filmed). And leaving the label on the guitar is something he's done with other guitars, notably his double neck and acoustics. But if the article exists and you find it and its written by someone reputable I'll believe it.
Im convinced buckethead is not human, you ever notice that he is the only âhumanâ that can play his own songs.
22:14 i had this guitar in my hands đ
The person who bought it messaged me with pics of it ages and ages ago and for the life of me I can't find it. Was that you? I think his name was Robert.
@@NatterNet not me, but a friend of mine - Robert is correct. đ
Sweeet! If you talk to him, ask if he'll resend the pics, wanted to put it in this vid but just couldnt find the damn email. I remember B drew on it too, right?
@13:30 ,that is the Vigier brand guitar, possibly the Excalibur model, a French guitar company also famous for making Bumblefoot's guitars.
another solid video from NatterNet ... buckethead is da man!
Thankyou, friend...and indeed he is, if he is in infact a man and not some other being haha Woo!!
Question, how did the headstock break on that guitar? is that why he dropped it? or did it break when he dropped it?
It broke when he dropped it.
Awesome video, brother! I agree with you, his KFC is so classic Buckethead. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you my friend, much appreciated. And clearly great minds think alike haha Woo!!
@23:50 that looks like a Framus brand guitar banjo, it has a guitar neck and tuning arrangement coupled with a banjo body.
green start you refer to is a vigour (brand that shawn lane used as well in his later part of the career).
Ive always loved his Esp m2
Hell yeah! I plan on stealing it from the hard rock one day (if its still there) Woo!!
Great video as always, Natter! Don't forget the unknown whammy bar guitar used extensively on Pike 11!
Thankyou, friend. I wish when he released all those Pikes that he put out some info with them, its one of the things I love about all the old albums, that they had a booklet with info and the who's and when's and why's. Now its just songs and obscure album titles...more mysteries wrapped in mysteries haha Woo!!
I don't know too much about guitars, but I certainly know that the instrument has never sounded better than in the hands of Buckethead, so much fun information you find, one of the coolest here is that Buckethead's brother plays as well, just think, if the Sisters sing, they could start a band called the Pentamerous Slunks, wickedly awsome vid, Woo !
Thankyou, friend. A buckethead family band would be awesome, Im sure they play too, but in the video I meant that Travis Dickerson said that Buckethead used his brothers guitar, as in Travis' brothers not Buckets. "Pentamerous Sunks" haha perfect!! Woo!!
Oh ok cool, what's that playing @ 14:45, Thanks, much effort went into this excellent vid BH will be Happeeeee !
Thankyou, friend. Song is 'In Search of the, Volume 2, Track 5, fan named as 'Blue Marbles Moon' (horrible title haha). Its playing throughout the whole vid. Woo!!
Love your videos!!!! Should be a more popular tube!!
Thank you, friend!
Quality over quantity is where it's at
cool vid thanks for making it. :)
My pleasure, friend. Thanks for watching. Great profile pic! Woo!!
The solid white Gibson man.. itâs just too damn sexy. And itâs his signature at this point basically. Itâs literally the sound of rock with that guitar.
Gr8 Stuff Natter.
The Gibson B Signature is my preferred one. It matches nicely his plain white bucket :)
Duuude I love your background music
What a really well put together video! Good job. By the way, the banjo at the end is a 'Framus' 6 string banjo from the late 60's/early 70's.
Thank you, friend. Much appreciated! Woo!!
I love that black Yahama. And that white Gibson with the red killswitches. Really cool.
Love your channel so much
You have such an awesome channel
Thank you my friend, thats very much appreciated!! Woo!!
That green one could be a custom shop esp horizon with pre lawsuit head, doesnât explain the no logo but it wasnât uncommon to have different inlays on custom models
4:16 do you have any idea where that poster came from? i have the exact one hanging up in my room but i can't find it anywhere online
It was released by Catalyst records around 2002, pretty rare item, so congrats on owning it!! Woo!!
Awesome breakdown of his guitars! Do you have a video about his amplifiers he has used throughout the years?
wonderful video ;) i like de esp air jordan, what music in the background?
thanks for all the nice videos you add. Which is the background song you start with? I ve searched all discography and i cannot find it... :) :)
czcams.com/video/dhZAS4xKKmw/video.html (88)
1:48 "and let's never speak of this footage again."
W...why not??
I think because that footage isn't verified as actually being Buckhead. It probably is him, but it's unconfirmed according to a video I just watched about him.
@@janX9 bro has the vein on his hand that is 10000 percent buckethead
Probably because he shows his face.
@@damienhelmold6978 ummm. *EVERYONE* has veins on their hands. That's basic human anatomy. That isn't confirmation of anything.
@@damienhelmold6978 you can't identify him by a vein. It probably isn't him for a real easy reason - he is performing without a mask. Regardless, buckethead doesn't want us to see behind the bucket and who are we to deny the will of a God?
Thanks
Anyone know what model of guitar Acoustic Shards was recorded on?
Most likely a guild, but his most important guitars and models are all featured in this video. Woo!!
10:45 đźđźđźđź he looks so arfggffbjdd!!! â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž Thanks, gray video!!!
The band with Patton is called Moonraker.
Correct
Nice video!!! I have the gibson signature, really hard to play cause the 27 scale but sounds killer
I know, right? Seems like it was made for NBA players haha
The green one is a custom
ESP LTD MH100QM Green Quilted Maple
I have nearly the same guitar, and belive you are correct. Great shredder. It plays better than my gibson.
What pickups does Buckethead use in his person white les Paul's post-2009?
I've heard different things; gibson 496r and 500t pickups like the production models, dimarzio tone (bridge) and dimarzio air norton (neck) or air norton (bridge) and tone zone (neck). Which is right?
The v is still in the palm springs location. That was bought back by hard rock cafe. I saw it two years ago.
Which hard rock
Has anyone figured out what dimarzios B used in his air Jordan Esp Natter..?
The Coopwood is my favorite đžđ¶ idk what it is about it but I have always loved it â€
We need to find it and steal it! We can each share it 6 months of the year. Wo!!
I'll throw my hat into the ring.
I'm guessing that the mystery 6:02 guitar is either some form of Carvin or an ESP Horizon.
I lean more toward the ESP side because I can't make out if there are super complex controls which are usually indicative of a carvin, plus while the esp 12th fret inlay is common, it's not absolutely necessary and you can find some without it. Plus, unlike ESP's M-1, it has a carved body (which you can see in the video due to the light)
The Truss Rod Cover is also dead on esp. you can look at 90s horizons and see the one on this mystery guitar.
16:54 that jam is so dope
Indeed it is. Woo!!
That, backyard party he's playing at was a normal, thing in and around LA in the 80s. According to Randy Rhoads, that was one of the main gigs bands tried to get back then. The backyard parties were IT according to Randy. So, it makes sense to see Bucket at one.
Muito muito muito muito legal! Parabéns.
