Vlog of my thrilling snowmobile trip experience on the spectacular Langjökull Glacier in Iceland. At 935 km², Iceland’s second-largest glacier, Langjökull, covers an area bigger than New York City. It sits in the Haukadalur valley, a stone’s throw from the Gullfoss waterfall on the famous Golden Circle route. In fact, you can see it loom large in the distance as you approach Gullfoss.
The Langjökull glacier is the perfect backdrop for an icy adventure. Here you can join a guide-led snowmobile tour and explore the glacier surface. Langjökull is home to unique ice-filled volcanic craters, something you’ll find almost nowhere else on Earth. As you glide across the glacier, you’ll be surrounded by incredible views of the nearby volcanoes and mountains, and even more glaciers in the distance.
