Prior to set up the alarm the time has to be set up. My previous video has the steps on how to set the time. There are three options to set the alarm up. You can set it up as the buzzer, FM station to wake you up or DAB station. However if you live in an area that doesn't have DAB reception you should choose FM or BUZZER. If your SANGEAN radio doesn't charge batteries please check if the switch is set to the correct position. If it is set to NIMH still don't charge it may be to do with a faulty adapter or faulty batteries. The Sangean DPR-35 is indeed great little FM/DAB+ pocket radio which exudes quality. What I like about it is the beautiful form factor - it fits in the hand/pocket very nicely. I mostly use if with quality earbuds while walking and cycling (off -road) to listen to DAB+ stations in Canberra. The earbud cord works as an antenna so there is no need to deploy the internal whip antenna except if using the loudspeaker. Also great as a late night in-bed radio where it’s easy to change stations by feel using the simple “jog wheel” control (AUTO-TUNE enabled) on side of case. The sound quality using good earbuds/headphones is very impressive (Dynamic Range Control or DRC enabled). USB charging is very convenient. Dropped it unfortunately - once while stationary on bike - apart from small scratch all good - excellent build quality.

It has a sleep mode as well. You can set it up from 15 to 90 minutes. The radio will shuts off after the desired time you setup. Great little SANGEAN Pocket radio.
Once in the pocket it goes into tuning mode continually therefore does not operate in the pocket when you are on the move. Also the ear phones are discs which do not fit into the ears. Disappointed.
HI Catherine, you can lock the radio. So it wont move. The lock button is on the top right hand corner of the radio.

Where can I get battery replacement?
I have heard there is no screws on the back of radio to access where battery is

This is DAB and FM. You can listen to AM stations on DAB.
