  • ESPN senior NFL writer and reporter Mike Clay joined One Bills Live. He discussed his season projections for Bills offensive players Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel. He went on to discuss how the offensive production will be spread out following the loss of Stefon Diggs and why he could see a run-heavy scheme early in the season. He then shared his thoughts on the Bills pass rushing success for 2024 and the defense under Sean McDermott and DC Bobby Babich.

    If Josh remains healthy the bills will
    be among the highest scoring 3 NFL teams.
    Dumping Diggs was a good move.
    Beane and Shawn are top
    shelf.

    You can't project what the offense will do when you don't even know what kind of offense it will be.
    In my mind Samuel might not be what you'd call a #1 WR, but I thiink he'll have the most production out of the WR's.

      At this point it's pretty much all speculation. I could see Keon leading the receiver group at the end of the year, then again I can also see Kincaid, Samuel, or Shakir doing the same. Josh and Joe are going to have a lot of flexibility. I'm genuinely intrigued to see what Joe Brady decides to do offensively with all these guys... 🦬

      My best guess is a Kincaid focused spread offense, with a little more emphasis on run than we ended last year with. At least that's what I would do, lol

    He makes a very good point that I forgot about....poyer and Hyde were no names in the NFL until getting to Buffalo.....I don't think this D takes a step back.....

    Kincaid is getting the ball much mire this year and so will Knox. A nice heavy dose of 2-TE's set's up Samuel on the slant/shorter passes which then will open up deep balls for Coleman! Shakir will mix it up all over the field. As far as who's getting the higher number of receptions and yards, I can't really say yet? I think we just need to spread the ball out all over the field to whomever is open or has seperationabd ultimately giving us the best chances to win, "EVERY" given Sunday! And don't forget the nearly 1,000yrds rushing J.Cook will be giving us this year too! I think we're gonna be alright! I loved Dighs, but I don't think he bought out Josh's best game, like he did the first few. Ever since the game that Diggs walked out and left his teammates reeling over that playoff loss, Josh hasn't looked the same? Especially on coach-called Diggs plays. They just looked flat last year. Certain times at least! Josh couldn't even look at steph the same after that divisional game, ( that we obviousl lost) ,. I think josh really wanted to please Diggs, but he just wasn't that happy in Buffalo antyAnd I wish him the best with the Texans! But anyways, I think Josh will easily find guys to throw too, especially in the two TE sets, and lead us to success and first in the AFC East, minimum!

    Coleman was brought in as the X, Davis was the X not Diggs. If you look at the depth chart last year Shakir was Digg's backup. That changed when Shakir was on the field more. I expect Shakir and Kincaid will get the most targets. Samuel will be up there he's knows Brady's system. Anything out of Coleman is a bonus. As far a redzone targets Allen and Knox have a connection near the goal line, Knox's best plays are in the redzone and usually end up in the endzone. As for who'll call the plays Sean said he would decide after the pre-season so that tells me that during the pre-season Babich will call the D.

      I agree most receptions could be Kincaid, could be Shakir. I think they will spread the ball this year so one guy may not hit 100 receptions🤷🏻‍♂️ especially if we run the ball more than we did last season.

      Samuels will play multiple positions . Flanker , slot/gadget and some running back .

    Division round out. McDermott gets fired. That’s the best case scenario this year. What a waste of an all time talent.

  • @phil3621
    @phil3621 Před 19 dny

    This guy doesn’t actually know anything. These projections will get some views now, but he doesn’t have any insight into what the offense will look like. The team will be developing that throughout training camp as they assess how the pieces all fit together.
