- Why Do Women Commit Less Crimes Than Men? Sociology of Crime and Deviance
Official statistics show that:
- 80% of convicted offenders in England and Wales are men
- By the age of 40, 32% of males have a criminal record,
- men are more likely to be repeat offenders, commit more serious crimes and to have longer criminal careers than women
- men are 15 times more likely to be convicted of homicide
- the most common crime committed by women is shoplifting
Some sociologist and criminologists question if official statistics our giving us a true picture of the extent of gender differences in crime. They claim that official statistics underestimate the amount of female as against male offending:
1. Typically female crimes such as shoplifting and property crimes that are less likely to be reported than violent or sexual crimes which are more often committed by men.
2. Women are more likely to be let off lightly compared lightly compared to males committing crimes (see Why do Men Commit More Crimes? • Is male crime shaped b... )
• There are three main sociological theories which help to explain the relationship between women and offending:
- Functionalist sex role theory
- Control theory (Heidensohn’s patriarchal controls and Carlen’s gender deals)
- and Liberation theory.
And then men say women are emotional🤡

Я вижу оскорбления женщин как мейнстримное медиа каждый день. Женщин считают за животных. В японском рисованном corn гуро это мейнстрим. Мы живем в мире, зная, что во многих странах у женщин нет обычных человеческих прав. И при этом мужские сограждане нашей страны говорят "вот бы и у нас так!".

Насилие над женщинами - мейнстрим, которым гордяться, это больше не темный секретный уголок интернета. Подписка на сливы это теперь долг любого школяра.
Не существует женщины, которая не сталкивалась с домогательствамии с подросткового возраста.
Я стараюсь изо всех сил избегать помоек, но все равно каждый день вижу тонну мизогинии. И думаю о женщин Афганестана, Дагестана, да и России, в которой домашнее насилие и отрезание гениталей девочкам легально.

О какой эмоциональной поддержке вы говорите? Я ни разу не видела чтобы мужчин называли оскорблениями, которые существуют только для женщин.
Да даже в каментах под этим видео снова оскорбляют и мифологизируют женщин, как будто они плачут от всего и только мужская печаль может иметь вескую причину.

I think it's a combination of all theories
This information compilation seems significantly biased. In my opinion, a major factor was skirted but never addressed. Women are supported, economically, by men. Their fathers, boyfriends etc. typically support women's basic needs. This support has lessened in recent years but is still true at the basic level. Because their basic needs are met by others, women have less "need" to commit crimes, join gangs etc. Men, on the other hand, are expected to support themselves and any women in their lives. I agree strongly with a point made in the video that crime rates for women will continue to rise as their role in society changes to be more "equal" or masculine.
Women do have more support, I'd say. Not just financially but emotionally, especially. However, not mostly by men but by other women. A woman putting her trust in a man to meet her financial and emotional needs is a gateway to abuse. Women understand women, men understanding women can be a dangerous gamble. I do agree with you that women have more support but your comment sounds incel coated. Your giving men to much credit, and less accountability for their actions.
@@kedamonom I'm sorry, but the data doesn't support your opinion. For a very basic example, women work and subsequently earn less than men. Women outspend men SIGNIFICANTLY and hold CONSIDERABLY more of the debt. Basic math proves my point. The implication that economic support from a man is a "gateway to abuse" is not only untrue but dangerous and ridiculous. Again, the facts in this matter show that men economically support women, overwhelmingly, in this country and the data also shows that the VAST MAJORITY of men do not predicate abuse on their female partners. The fact that you use derogatory terms to make uninformed insults highlights your ignorance and arrogance. I was really hoping for an intelligent debate based on facts but it would seem that all of your arguments are based on personal experience, misandry and emotions. @@chhandameher6445 the department of justice reports that less than 2% of the population commit violent crimes annually. So, by definition, MOST men do not commit these acts. I suggest doing your own research rather than relying on CZcams comments for your information. Keep in mind... Feelings are not facts!!
@@chhandameher6445 There are also new studies (2) out recently that suggest that as many as 50% of domestic abuses are initiated by women. I won't cite these specific studies as this information is very new and unconfirmed by longer term research. It may be interesting to you if you are, in fact, interested in researching the truth about this unfortunate reality of the country we live in. (US)
