Hi Glenn. Love the idea of the tribute build. You should do everything you mentioned with the big wheels etc but, as the body shell is very similar, do it in Bear Hawk colours... I've got a Bear Hawk and it's rare to see many make it on to CZcams. You could even do the blue the TS equivalent of PS16... That'd look cool... Anyway what ever you decide to do will be way up there. Happy RC'ing... 👍

To my knowledge it was only early batches of the bad fighter that had clear gear boxes. I fitted one on my rabbit and on my fighter rx memorial. For your id like to see the falcon tribute but maybe hunt down some fighter rx yellow buggy wheels and use them ? ;) take care fella
Hi Glen great video mate. I had one of these when they came out, mainly because I could see the Bear Hawk in the body, and the Bear Hawk body always reminded me of the Falcon. So after a few years the decals started looking a bit shabby so I removed them and painted the body as a Falcon. with yellow rims and shock's (couldn't find any yellow CVA's so I used black) it became my Falcon tribute, gee I hope they re-release the falcon! I aactually
The Kyosho Raider has friction shocks as well. Instead of replacing these with oil shocks, I used a little bit of friction grease, like they use on the friction shocks of the Micro Losi, and it made the Raider's shocks really dampen the impacts. It won't be as good as a smooth oil shock, but much better than just bouncy springs, and it's a very cheap upgrade.
mod motor of some variety, maybe something you'd put in a hornet back in the day that's like a 19 turn or so, faster but cheap servo, buggy so 5 - 10 kg is no problem. Hobbywing 1060, other wheels & tires then the stock ones, oil shocks, ball bearings. Think a white or silver instead of the orange would make it look nice together with some white rims and changing the grey striping & silver lettering too white if you are going with grey there.
At the beginning of the video I thought to myself that reminds me of a Falcon. It’s actually a very 80’s looking body so I think a Falcon tribute would be very fitting. Maybe a Fox driver figure to fill out the cockpit space or Wild One figure. But yeah the basis is there for a terrific build.
I’ve got both the MadBull and MadFighter but only one chassis so I’ve made it a quick swap over from one to other. I upgraded the shocks to big bore buggy, took off the clear parts and exchange them for the black plastic stuff, the clear parts are worth a lot of money 🤓 I’ve also upgraded the ball bearings and steering arms to adjustable ones. Also put on some enormous truck wheels same size as the MadBull tyres but better flatter tread ( needed a 12mm hex adapter on front though 😳😩 I’m still building it up at the moment as I’m truly stuck for colour scheme for both hard shells I’m thinking for the MadFighter either deep metallic purple but a colour shift paint, purple/gold or purple/black, not sure and then for MadBull, Kawasaki racing green with black and white pinstripes 🤔🤔🤔 chassis’s finished just need to hurry up and decide on colour schemes for both shells 🤪😂😂😂 anyway I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with See if I can pinch anything from you 😉🤔😂 all the best for this one, Kenny 😃👍👍👍👍👍👍
Like the falcon tribute idea. Personally I was never a huge fan myself of the big tires on buggy look, though the mad bull did grow on me a bit over the years. But when it comes to the big wheels how about the monster beetle wheels and tires. Bit taller but less wide and the gold rims would look cool with a black and red falcon scheme. Maybe some 'Mad Falcon's decals.
I would go with the Bull looks mate I think Its gonna look amazing like that!!! Also when I was watching the vid i thought that the noise was the servo cause It sounded when you steer It but maybe Its going to be the diff cups and the wheel axle cups, those maybe a bit spended and have some play
I know someone is going to be upset with this...but I've never been a fan of the Falcon, but mostly because of the engineering behind it. BUT, the body style/colors/decals I DO like...so I bet I would love a Falcon Tribute car. Great video as always.
The wheelbase is just like the fighter buggy RX memorial edition I think it's the same length chassis seems exactly the same I know it's a dtr01 but they make dto ones on different chassis.
I like the idea of a “Fat Falcon” …… if you could make that paint-job/decals cartoon-like. I also wonder about wheels/tyres from the Dynahead or Comical Hotshot if they are big enough. Running on that BMX track rather than boring old tarmac and gravel. Get some weight in the front to stop it constantly wheelie-ing too. Maybe stick the female Willy character in it ….. Looking forward to this one a lot. It could be mental but great running.
Where did you get those tires I've been looking for those tires for my fighter buggy rx is memorial edition I don't think you'll need those tires anymore.

The mad fighter was my first buggy back into the hobby in 2003. Absolutely love it. Great re use of the bear hawk body.
