    Thank you so much. I've learned a lot. I am getting ready to bowl on a 42 foot pattern tonight.

    Love the videos but would love maybe some specto or something so I can kinda visualize all of his shots at once.

    Correct me if i‘m wrong: more surface doesnt give your ball more hook, it only hooks earlier but the motion is the same right ?

    • @xouijit77
      @xouijit77 Před 7 měsíci +3

      That is basically correct. It will not change ball motion, it will change how early your ball grabs the lane and therefore how early your ball uses its energy. It may use its energy in the fronts and roll out in the midlane.

    You consistently threw the ball to 9-10-11 range downlane. Not 13-15. Maybe 1 shot. The “benchmark” ball got you to around 7-8-9 downlane because it is quicker than your big/slow asym.
    You are right, surface is not usually going to be good on a long oil pattern..unless…the volume is also very high, which can happen. Most long patterns are not going to have a high volume but consider watching your ball motion as you are practicing.

      @@ceciltuttle743 maybe you should get your eyes checked, downlane, the lighter boards are 9-10-11. The ball consistently got to those boards.

      Ball is almost 10 boards wide so are you saying the outside of his ball or center mass? Either way I don’t care enough to argue with you but ever time his ball was more in front of the 3 and not the 6 that’s closer to board 14 than 9

      Each arrow is 5 boards. That should help your vision on which board he's crossing.

    Why wouldn’t you move right to close down the angle to have it roll into the pocket easier?

      You ever play a 45' pattern? You have to pretty much treat like board 6 or 7 as the edge of the lane, the gutter. The ball just won't come back

      @@michaeljamrozy4299he asked, that means he doesnt know. Obviously he never played a 45‘ pattern.

      Asked for an opinion because it doesn’t make sense to me played on flat 44ft I know I know it’s not 45 but I closed down my angles and had more success maybe it’s because I’m a two hander that has more revs than you but mine came back and even crossed I’ve a few times to the Brooklyn side

      @@ceciltuttle743There are more factors than just the lane pattern. The lane surface you’re bowling on will also affect your ball motion. The reason why people tend to play the middle of the lane on a longer pattern is to get away from the “deadzone” to the right. If you were to play further right, you’d be closer to that deadzone and have less miss room. Of course this isn’t consistent everywhere, there are some circumstances where you can play the extreme right on a longer length pattern. This is just used as a rule of thumb. 👍

    • @ceciltuttle743
      @ceciltuttle743 Před 7 měsíci +2

      Thank for a response that didn’t sound rude. I guess bigger reason I asked wasn’t for a bowing lesson more from my experience when I was trying to play in the track to keep the ball more in front of me I lost more shots to the right and they stayed out and when I compensated a touch regardless of arsenal it would over hook so I just moved right and played the straight is greater and I felt I had better success bc of the miss room I had. Sure it may be mental part of the game and I don’t go out and buy new balls to drill for each pattern. Tried surface and yeah dramatic middle lane read and if this is more a rule of thumb kinda like the rule of 31, that’s fine but more than one way to strike and was curious if I was on to something to where I wouldn’t need so many bowling balls going to need a spare room soon haha

    Must need to sell more bowling balls. House conditions need more oil on them. The dumps I throw on you hit the 6-8 board, and you hit the 4pin
