Their first ability says “Command tokens” not “Commodities”. I thought you were misspeaking about their ability but then you continued talking about commodities. Just FYI.
That was a definite error. Pinned.
@@TheBoardGameKaptain Thanks for the videos!
@@phunkysai you’re very welcome, thanks for watching.
"Khajiit has wares, if you have coin" :D
Psst, got any skooma?
@@TheBoardGameKaptain mmmm.. skoooomaa.
All things aside. I think I have watched wvery single one of your faction guides on TI4.
Good stuff. Gonna make myself a lil present this christmas in the form of PoK.
Also to make some ppl envious.. I am having 1 TI4 game every month with my lads. It can be done gentlemen! Even with wife and kids and 9-5! Keep the dreame alive! 😁
@@KenJKnight thanks so much for watching the whole series, I really appreciate it. Also, I am jealous, I wish I could get games of Twilight Imperium in that often. I'm usually held back by how many other games I need to play for review on the channel, so kind of a good thing as well.
An interessting strategy with the Hacan is to open the actioncard market for everyone. Basicly you allow everyone to exchange their action cards with each other but everytime anyone wants this to do you get a fee of one trade good from both participants and you get the information which cards are traded. This makes you dominant in the whole game.
Indeed, the Hacan can create their own market and economy.
I have to disagree with Production biomes
(Green faction tech). It's situational at best.
QDN (yellow faction tech), however, is a must get especially if you manage a yellow skip.
Ahhh, but the green techs I recommended can also aid you in getting QDN because of them allowing the use of planetary tech specialties while exhausted. 😉
I love the Emirates of Hacan with a large table I am a wheeler dealer letting players refresh their commodities for a price either a TG exchange in my favour, an action card of their choice and even a faction promissory
note
Indeed, that is definitely the right way to take advantage of their abilities.
Thanks!
You are very welcome, thank you.
The mech is insanely powerful. I have used it to sell and rent planets to other players. If you keep a powerful fleet a hex away that also has a planet. Pick up the mech and you can take the system back. But then again I tend to make all 2° trade card use for free a binding contract. So it's a deterrent to lose your income every turn and all your commodities as well.
There are definitely some tricksy options there. Very nice!
17:01 for faction specific techs
27:00 for secret objectives
I would say that the Politic Strategy Card is really good for Hacan, you get 2 Action Cards you can trade, you are able to know what Agendas are coming up and you can take or SELL the Speaker Token
Excellent points, I may have overlooked it a little.
What would you most recommend if you’re playing without the expansion?
The first bit of advice I have to give you if you are playing without the expansion, is to save up and get the expansion. ;)
I'm being silly of course, but the expansion is truly awesome and it does add tons of content so I really do recommend it.
The abilities that the Emerates of Hacan get from the expansion don't actually change how they play as much as a lot of other factions have changed with the expansion content. They just lean into what they were already good at. So most of the advice in the video holds true, though you do need to ignore the stuff about the leader cards and the mech of course.
@@TheBoardGameKaptain I do have the expansion, but I’m currently trying to get back into TI and wanna reacquaint myself with the base game before I launch into Prophecy Of Kings
@@craftsmenMC fair enough. It is easier to take small steps with TI4. There's tons of content, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Take it slow and play your first game getting back into TI for fun, and don't worry too much about winning. Then in your second game, go right for the throat. ;)
@@TheBoardGameKaptain Heheheh I plan to. Me and my bestest friend ever will be introducing their girlfriend to the awesome game. I SHALL RULE THE GALAXY!
By the way, would you agree that the Sardakk N’Orr are the best race for new players? Me and my best friend say so because their special ability is super easy to understand.
@@craftsmenMC I definitely do agree, they are one of the easiest factions to understand and do well with.
