My Volt v2 was stiff too, but it got better with some breaking in. After about a month I finally properly lubed it (used a lot of Traxxas), and it became plushy soft and really enjoyable. I have a YLM square 1 too, and it’s better out of the box, but with the setup I prefer the Volt.
