    Nice to see Fajardo actually getting some support from his team... Equally nice to see they fired Dave Dickenson as head coach of the Riders... he had a great QB in Fajardo.. but couldn't get his O-line on the same page.... this last season proved that... It wasn't Fajardo's fault.. It was terrible coaching! As a Rider fan I am glad to see Dickenson gone!! And congrats to Fajardo on this big win!!

    Can someone explain the logic/rules regarding the last second attempt by Winnipeg to kick the ball into the end zone. I do not understand what they were trying to accomplish and how that could have changed the outcome.

    • @teo_heel
      @teo_heel Před 7 měsíci +1

      The only explanation... to somehow get a penalty... it wasn't a onside punt for sure.

    • @gordonwhitney6052
      @gordonwhitney6052 Před 7 měsíci +7

      In the CFL, a punter and any 'onside' teammate (i.e. anyone behind the punter when the ball is kicked) may recover the kicked ball and regain/maintain possession. If the ball is recovered in the end zone it's a TD. If it's outside the end zone they can pick up the ball and run with it. I'm guessing that's what Winnipeg was trying to do here. It's a desperation play and while I think a straight Hail Mary was a better option for Winnipeg, that's also a desperation play.

    • @teo_heel
      @teo_heel Před 7 měsíci +4
