There are a few companies that make cabs for almost any Cat dozer of any vintage complete with air conditioning and heat. An enclosed cab would make things a little more pleasant especially on hot summer days. It would also help keep bugs out of your teeth and prevent being stung to death by the yellow jackets Chris often disturbs.

I have a PJ trailer with the 10' hydraulic dovetail and haul a dozer about the same size on it. I hate unloading because of the tracks slipping on the tail. I have discovered that to eliminate the slipping, throw two old tires on the tail where the tracks come down after breaking over the pivot. They land on the tires and stick very well. I haven't had a machine slip on the tires yet.

    Not being a dozer operator,
And watching Chris having to bob from side to side to see the blade.
I've always wondered if it would be advantageous to swap the cab and engine around.?
So that the engine is at the rear and the driver Is sitting more or less over the top of the blade and has better visibility to see what they're pushing.
