Couldn't describe it better... those 80ies were crazy and amazing.

Absolutely agree ! Was a child by then. Legend/Charismatic actor who motivated me to practice sport and stay fit and healthy. Still have the same pleasure watching those movies today...

Respect Van Damme it was an honour watching you as a kid you will always be one of my idols. I remember spending endless hours doing stretching exercises so that I could do the splits and kick just like you.
He was the first ever movie and idol I looked up to now I'm 10 and I watched him when I was 4 he is in one of the doors in my heart and now I tell my dad can you sign me up for karate please I didn't want to when I didn't know about him I wanted to do boxing so I didn't give up on niether of my dreams so I practiced boxing and karate I use one of them on how I feel boxing is when I'm lost in my heart in my head so I do karate do open a path to my problems it helps a lot even if it seems dumb to other people I don't care because I was one of them I was very lost I lied a lot I only cared about me myself and I and now I know when someone is mad sad or let down I tell them what I did it helped a lot now there my friends and I'm glad they are they help me so much so if karate seems lame to you it's because you are hiding the fact that you are lost in life like me so give karate a try it might help if not talk to someone 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

This...this right here is the reason I’ve started practicing “Shotokan Karate”! I was anywhere between 9-11 years old when I saw the movie Kickboxer on TV in Romania and I got caught copying Van Damme’s training sequences in my parent’s living room lol, and when I came to America in 2000 at the age of 12, my father entered my ass officially into a Dojo next to our first home in America in Astoria Queens lol. The Dojo is still there today and became a black belt in 2004! Thanks Van Damme...!!!

Amazing man, I have been following his training videos during quarantine here in the UK. He's a fab teacher breaks it down really well, so precise in his advice. Most of all is his mind set he puts across "be patient" he says "listen to your body"? Not all shouty and full on, I am 43 and had knee and back issues. I learning Ball room and Latin dance and his coaching is helping me massively. My frame is much stronger and my legs and core far more able.
