Stallone underwent intense physical training to portray the physically demanding role of John Rambo. He wanted to convincingly portray a former Green Beret with exceptional survival and combat skills.
Stallone performed many of his own stunts, including the famous scene where Rambo jumps off a cliff into a tree. This dedication to realism added authenticity to the action sequences.
Stallone's involvement in the editing process was crucial in shaping the final result action movie.
