  • Yeswelder is known for their affordability when it comes to Welding equipment and consumables. Many people bash brands if their not the top 3 Giants, but let’s be real; in this economy not everyone has the leisure of spending thousands of dollars for a welding machine. In this Flux135Pro review video, we pin point the upsides and downsides of this unit. For under 200 dollars, you can buy this unit in the following link:

    For just $200 it is hard to go wrong. You weld two things and you're ahead of the game.

    Exactly what I wanted to know. Of course, never having welded before I doubt I'll get the results you got, but at least I know it's in the realm of the possible.

    I had a similar issue with an Everlast 210 EXT and 3/32 -7018. The only rod it would run was the 3/32 Fleetweld by Lincoln. The Hobart 7018 I could not keep the arc going.

      I think this was just the machine brother. It sputtered around with the Yeswelder brand 6011. But you might be right. I gave the machine away already so I can’t even test it out anymore. 😅

    Cool video man. Was wondering about the flux core wire vs gas. Nice on a home set up to not have to deal with a big bulky bottle. Just a bit more cleanup than the gas i guess. That yesweld stick 205 you recomended me still laying it down. It doesnt seem to strugle with the 7018 like this one did.

    • @VantageWelding
      @VantageWelding  Před 4 měsíci

      Yeah brother. This small unit is perfect for gas less flux. Once cleaned, it’s just like any other weld. Being able to Tig with it is a bonus in case you got super thing stuff like what I welded for Thomas. Definitely worth the 160 bucks. That 205 is perfect for your’s and your son’s needs brother without having to break the bank

      For one thing using gas will greatly reduce your exposure to the toxic heavy metal fumes produced by flux core wire, this is especially important if you'll be welding indoors where the fumes will hang around in the air

    Would the welds have been stronger with more penetration with a steeper rod angle?

      Probably. It’s good enough for the type of work a 145 dollar machine would probably be used for.

    • @VantageWelding
      @VantageWelding  Před 2 měsíci

      Anything you can afford would be a good set up brother. Depends on what it is that you are trying to accomplish. Get a cheap machine to learn on and build from there. No need to spend a lot of all you are trying to do is stick metal together brother. 🫡

    Should take note you used mild steel wire on stainless so it's going to be weak and incredibly brittle. So I would ignore that hammer test.

    If you sprayed the steel before you MIG welded it with anti-spatter it would have prevented most of that ugly flux core spatter
