Concert was absolutely insane!! His shows are so sick and he Is gonna win. 12 POINTS TO THE NETHERLANDS!! (it was a no phone show, so you wasn't allowed to take out your phones because of this clip)
to be honest, no phone policy should be at any concert. People nowadays are only looking at their phones. without the phones they are living the concert instead
This concert was the first live version he did. He did it a second time with phones allowed. He did not want any phones the first time because he knew people would upload it to social media and it would spoil the possibility to surprise with it being his first live version. The second time he did it live everyone started posting to social media, but the moment he started this song they uploaded this video. Ultimately creating hype for it being his "first" live version of Europapa. All the hype generated from people posting to social media went directly to that video getting it way more exposure. He is a marketing genius.
No Phone policy was to have exclusive ability to create this live version. Later concerts didn't have this rule and you can find recordings on CZcams. It seems the phone ban was quite well accepted and respected.

The concert was INSANE, I laughed, smiled, bassfaced and cried. It was beautifull and Joost can create such a safe feeling.
The cellphone thing: its about being there in that moment. Without any distraction (of phones). A message and a better way to party as one 🥳
When you watch this and listen to this you just feel you are witnessing something really special. The connection between him and the crowd is so there and it’s so strong you even feel it sitting at home an watching it on your screen. Goosebumps really, Joost is a phenomenon!

I wasn't at this concert but at night 2, it was INSANE!! He is so so so good live and brings an amazing vibe. 12 POINTS TO THE NETHERLANDS! I have no doubt that Joost will do a fantastic job at eurovision, he is gonna kill it!!💋⭐️🖤
No cell phone policy is to encourage everyone to enjoy the show, instead of scoring social media credits. Those few cellphones that might be there are either assholes ignoring the policy or (rather likely) part of the production crew.
Belgian here, and gdam YES 12 points for the NL 😂. As a 90s teenager this is a nostalgic beat. In this case i dont care if it is propaganda, we need this message right now. Hakken!!!!! 😂
Knowing his background stories (lost both parents at a very young age, got depressed and dedicated this song to his father) and being a Dutch native speaker myself, I thought, why not translate Europapa, explaining the deeper meaning of the song (no verified of course, but I think it makes a lot of sense.
