Perfect timing on this video! I just started a TT Quattro track build here in the states so this video is inspirational and give me some great ideas. One thing i wondered about here in the states was inspection with driver airbag removed.
Thanks Rick. I think someone answered on FB group. The good thing about stripping the interior and steering wheel is there are no airbags to go off at least and the fuses can be installed to spoof the pressence of airbags. Thanks for your comment pal!
Wow, you got to drive it and on a wet track!!😉....Some really useful mods on that, love the tablet instrument panel!!! and the front bumper quick release. What a fantastic car, I see so many perfectly good road worthy TTs getting scrapped because they are worth more in parts, which is sad, I'd much rather they got turned into track cars like this.
Thanks Si. I only got to drive it on the road but it was seriously wet so could not "boot it". It felt very rigid and solid so you can feel the polybushing. The lack of any interior really made it loud too. Quite an experience!
Hi Andy - love this video, very informative! I'm going to be starting my mk1 track car build next year and would absolutely love a similar build to this. Do you know if Lee has posted the details of his build anywhere?
Hi Howard. Thanks for your comment. There is a very helpful and informative mk1 track car group on Facebook. I don’t think Lee has published any details but there will be more track car mods coming to the channel next year. Thanks for your comment! 👍
That's a race car, to make a track car honestly doesn't matter what it is you just need good track suitable tyres and uprated track suitable brakes. The rest really doesn't matter, it's just got to be mechanically sound. Then go have some fun and get instruction! Because you will suck despite what you think.

Like the head light switch attached to the dash without knee bolster... How did he mount it so clean?
Very cool! We always wanted to get into racing but was always a distant dream.
You'll have to come along to a track day Andy,
I may have an invite to Castle Coombe in August. At least if the V6 conks out on the way I can get relayed back!
@@andycharger sweet man, I am looking to organise one for 18th August
Enjoyed this content …. Thanks Andy
Thanks Howard. I hope you are well mate!
Nice job man, love tt
Is this rear wing spoiler universal or for tt 8n? It fit so well, looks sick with it
I dont think it was an 8N part. I think it was a universal wing that Lee customised to fit. Thanks for your comment.
@@andycharger Maybe will look for it to put on my TT, good luck driving my friend!

This is what it's all about!! Cheap, visually cool and drive the sh!t out of it!! 🍻
Drive it like you "borrowed it"...lol. Thanks for your comment!
Nice video Andy 👌
Thanks Peter. It sure looks a fun project hey?
Excellent video
Thank you Steve! Much appreciated
Can you ask where he get that large rear spoiler?
I believe it popped up on eBay
Hello mate iv still got a knock after doing bearing, lower arms, track rod, drop link. Any ideas.
Driveshaft loose at all? Could be that.
@@andycharger No all tight. Going to check the subframe bolts. After that I haven't got a clue what it is.. thanks for replying
WHERE TO PURCHASE A REAR SPOILER
I think it came from either Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. It was fashioned to "fit".

Andy you were hardly being a bad influence and driving with out seatbelts ? The horror 🙈
I had a harness on!
@@andycharger it must of been one of those invisible one 😅. But I Enjoyed the video.
Its out of sight as I had the lap belt done up. I could not fit the top belts on as Im too lardy!
