    • @Boonerp
      @Boonerp  Před rokem

      Covid era limited supply of parts and the T8 does not have an oil filter.

      Si tiene filtro de aceite. Es una pequeña tuerca cerca del filtro de la gasolina

    Why did you move the fuel air screw? On dirtbikes I adjust after mods. But are they off from the factory for emissions?

    • @Boonerp
      @Boonerp  Před rokem

      The motor had idling issues. After cleaning the carb jets twice I tried adjusting the fuel air screw. Which as it turns out was unneeded . A third cleaning of the carb was did the trick.

    Having problems getting the shift/gear linkage adjusted correctly. Hearing clicking while in neutral. Any help?

    • @Boonerp
      @Boonerp  Před rokem

      Is there a factory paint mark on the gear linkage shaft located on the lower end? Like this czcams.com/video/1DhqPgRJcws/video.html if yes whilst in neutral adjust the small nut so that the bottom of the nut is located at the top of the paint. If no try adjusting the bottom of the small nut 3 full threads up the lower end gear linkage and tighten the coupler(large nut) to the small nut. Again with the gear selector in neutral. Hope this helps.

    I cannot get the lower off because the thing you unscrew in the beginning does not want to spin. I’m afraid to break it. Any suggestions.

      Here's a forum discussing seized shift rod connector. My approach would be the same.
      forums.iboats.com/threads/9-9-yamaha-seized-shift-shaft-coupling.511027/
      99yam40 "Can you get hold of the shift shaft at the top and disconnect it up there? Then you might be able to hold the shaft with some vise-grips while you turn the coupling without the fear of breaking something.
      May need to use heat and a hammer, but you may have to cut it and then replace with new."
      Hope this helps.

      I modified a needle nose vise grip . Heated the tip and bent it at a 90degree or slightly less .then ground it down to fit inside of the upper leg portion. Used a rust blaster product as well and let that soak in .

      Yes, I went through the same thing. The T8 doesn't have a filter. Here is a link to the manual F6/8, T8 have a look for yourself, just to make sure. outboards.yamaha-owners-manuals.com/om/LIT-18626-06-70.pdf
