  • Early morning - Sunrise - is thought to be the best time to practice Tai Chi. For beginners, this can be a challenge. Why am I getting up so early? But if you can catch the light just right - like in this session - it's all worth it. Join in with this meditation in motion - it's perfect for beginners, because all you have to do is do what you see.

@David-Dorian Ross Hello. I'm new to Tai Chi, but I wanted to learn it to improve my balance and overall well being. I also figured it would help me with my anxiety as well. I thoroughly enjoyed doing your 20 minute sunrise practice on CZcams. The movements are still a little confusing, but I'm working on it. I still do yoga, which I really like, but Tai Chi sounds like a good supplement to that. 😊🙏

I've been using this video off and on to add to my exercise program...which is limited. One of my cats, an attention monger who is a bit overweight, hears the music and immediately runs over to me. He knows the song and when I twist to the sides jumps on the table to make sure he gets a pet. He also knows when to jump down and sit between my legs when the exercise calls for reaching down. Not only do I get exercise, but fat boy does too. Good video.

Very nice, i actually got a good workout for this. My suggestion would be if you could use 2 cameras from different angels. because at some moments it's kind of hard to see what position you are in. for example at 12:48 i can't see if you bend your upper body or if it stays straight. And at other times you change the position but we can't see you feet, so i didn't know if i should keep them or move them to a new position.

As a beginner, this workout was a little challenging at first, but it kept me interested in wanting to master it, and it gave me the confidence that I could actually do tai chi! In the past, I tried learning from a different instructor and couldn't follow well enough to continue. You changed that for me, and now I want to learn more - Thank you! I wish there was a full-length (30 to 40 minute) workout of this instead of just 15, so now I'm shopping for a DVD of yours and wondering where to start. I love the flow of this workout and would like to find something at a similar difficulty level.

As expected practice went very well, good speed and flow, on screen text would be a real plus for beginners, us too. Some inhale and exhales hints might be a plus if one is not experienced. We did it early this morning before the heat of the day got going. Here in Hastings UK we are not used to such long spells with such high temperatures, especially on the coast.
As septuagenarians with time on our hands we would generally do a warm up, then a 8 brocade or similar, your 15 minute practice and then a cool down. Always good to have a bit of variety along with something familiar.
Once again many thanks. As an aside are you allowed to fish in the wetlands behind you, saw some nice fish jumping!!

I appreciated and liked this video. I would offer a suggestion on the filming. The foot and leg movements are so important. Please consider filming the different movements with the whole body moving together. Many times I was following the hands, but my feet were off because I couldn't see your feet at the time. You had plenty of camera room to film from the bottom of your shoes to the top of your head for close ups without losing the preciseness of the movements. That would help so much with the flow and coordination of the movement changes.

Great video, and I loved the moves! These are a different variety from what a lot of videos have, and worked some new muscles for me.
However, I think there are a few things about this video that make it not quite "beginner friendly".
    1. The lack of talking makes it really difficult to look away from the screen when the head is supposed to be turned, and stay in sync with the movement.
    2. The camera angles sometimes obscure the footwork that goes along with the motions.
I noticed this several times during the video, but I think the "deer" movements probably stood out as one place where this could be more "beginner friendly".

Wonderful routine and I am very grateful to you for making it available. Unfortunately, like some others I had to abandon it midway when you kept switching away from full body view. I hope at some point you are able to re-edit it to show the entire routine from the viewpoint of the full body camera.

Very nice & thank you for your lessons, My gravity goes down & I used Ball to make more challenge. I love different music & which I play with. To help old people I think Mimic's choices help a lot, put them on mood to swing......., If I can see you on Udemy made for effective & fun for whom intimidate by words TAI CHI/Qi Gong....., I/We try to entertain many stubborn people but want to be well(?), Many times why do I care?...., but I do!!!. Tank you again for your generous/sincere WORKs. I have many questions ( better ways than before ?!?!....),

I have been attending a Tai Chi Flow class for about 7 months now and I love it. I just wanted to find a Tai Chi exercise and I found you! It was at a slower pace than what I'm used to, but It was a pleasure to do it again. You have a new subscriber and I may have to take a look at your other videos! Keep it up!

"Every day tai chi" you call it, or something like it, and I've been doing it every day for coming up to a year now! Thank you. Which means I've seen the river, or lake, hundreds of times, I've seen one nodding donkey move and one stay still hundreds of times, and I've seen the midges/mosquitos the same. I'm intrigued - where is this? And did you get bitten to pieces?
