Mast Removal | EC135 Main Rotor Hub Shaft | Airbus Helicopters

In this video we show how to remove the mast, or main rotor hub shaft, from the transmission of an Airbus EC135 or H135. The reason the mast was removed from this aircraft was to perform a spacer tube inspection.
The next video in the series of three videos will show how to complete a spacer tube inspection, and how to replace the spacer tube if needed. This will more than likely require the partial disassembly of the mast.
The third video in the 3 part series will review how to install the mast into the transmission.

I broke this job into 3 videos. They’re in the play list named EC135 Spacer tube inspection. It just seemed like a better way to review the videos if you are about to do this job since this entire job of removing, inspecting, and reinstalling the mast may take more than a day. Especially if you find something wrong Ike we did and you need to order parts and wait.
This way you don’t need to scroll to the end of an over hour long video if you only want to review the installation process.
