An interesting presentation! I have had audio issues with Zoom running on a PC so now I use a MacBook for Zoom, works reliably.
What would be interesting is to know how and what is used for lightning protection for the 1Kw transceiver on the antenna side as well as the AC mains side.

Yes. FEMA won’t share them, but there’s about a dozen of them in the HF spectrum, some ALE, some standalone. Do a Google search…
Unless it is stated that a particular frequency or agency is illegal to receive, yes it is legal. Certain operations such as cellular phone frequencies are legally barred from reception. If you have doubts on legalities, look it up and find out (on Google possibly). Anything else, game on!

Believe me Doug. I tried to listen to this. I wanted to hear this. This is unmanageable to listen to. I mean what the heck did you do? You must have some kind of Audacity? I don't use Audacity. For this kind of thing. I use Adobe Audition..
I've been using Adobe Audition. Since I built my first computer from scratch in, January 1996. And running the Cyrix alternative to the Intel Pentium. With a brand spanking new, high-speed,, SCSI, 2X, CD cutter! $1000 worth! With a $1000, One Gigabyte Hard Drive! With enough room. For a full record album! I was state of the Fart!
And so Doug. This little production will post it here. Sounds like it's from 1995. And your very first try at 13 years of age, right? I knew it!
It's okay Doug. You had to screw up somewhere. I guess this was a great piece to screw up on? As nobody really wanted to listen to this did they? Because we really can't listen to this. Sounding this way. From brash loud blurts. To the mumbling and dropping out of words. That fall into obscure, unintelligible background blabbering. Bravo Sir!
Yes you have certainly outdone yourself here Doug. Every time I try to listen to this track. I cannot concentrate on anything. It is such an abomination of dynamic sludge. It is mostly unintelligible. Was that your criteria? This is so boring it should always sound like this? Or people won't know the difference? Because you can't hear anything wrong?
Many people your age have serious hearing deficiencies and loss. You went talk to many Grateful Dead concerts. Now look at your audio track. You've gone deaf. And don't know it. The meters moving. So it must be working and sounding? That's the way a lot of TV guys do it. That's why video guys don't really do audio. They can focus on lens. They don't know how to focus a microphone or a volume control. And where do you look in? And therein lies the problem. Microphones have no viewfinders. This is a problem. It's easy to make a pinhole lens. You just take it pin. And you stick it in to the front of the microphone grill. It will make a little hole.. To pick up sound. Like a pinhole camera. Because you have a pinhole ear. Obviously. Maybe a pinhole brain as well? As you obviously didn't ask anybody.. For any kind of audio help with this thing. Like I'm doing the lecture. And I need a good recording. Maybe you can come down to make sure I get a good recording of my lecture? Instead of trying to do it yourself with the wrong stuff. And then posting this unlistenable, abomination.
Now I'm no longer interested in the subject. I'm just irritated. And I shall go to another CZcams channel. That has good sound. Intelligible sound. Articulate people. Who are not mumbling under their breath with a horrible recording that cannot be listened to. And nothing to glean from this.
Obviously you are a Trump supporter. I'm not. That ass wipe. Didn't even let those fine, US Military,, Audio/Video White House Crew guys. Do the audio they know how to do for the president. When Donnie instructed them. I want my own microphone on one of those flexible things. So I can play with it. Because you don't know what you're doing. The microphone should be in front of my mouth. And it is when the US Military guys, do it. It doesn't have to be. Directly in front of your hole. It actually sounds better when it's not. As I've worked with those White House, AV guys. Since I would go there for NBC-TV News Operations Engineering. And will be sitting 10 feet away from our POTUS. Between him and the US Military Teleprompter Operator. Yeah. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I did after I left. Though I never got together with Willie Nelson nor Jimmy Carter. So I never blew a joint on the roof. Although I heard they did? I'm sure that was spectacular. As it was likely done also before 1936. I mean who wouldn't want to? Until some extremist folks in the US decided it was bad. In 1936. And pissed-off, on our Party.
At maybe it's the legalization of pot in the USA. Thhat made the extremist crazies, Rip the Rights away from, all, American Women? But then they been trying to do that for over 50 years. Because no extremist conservative. Believes Women should have the same rights as men. Because they are inferior! They shouldn't even be voting! Who allowed that? And never should former,, slaves be allowed to vote!

I love it. I'm a retired communicator. I'm a really good communicator. And I think this is a very funny joke here.
Being a retired, Network Television Audio Engineer, primarily. Doug is talking about, Communications and Continuity. Of which. This audio track has none. What is this audio track? Is it an audio track or an audio garble abomination? It's a garbled abomination. With no continuity and very little, communication. I mean really Doug?
You've got all of the software at your fingertips. This is the best you could come up with? I wanted to hear this. I cannot listen to this, this way. This is beyond, abominable audio. That lacks continuity. That lacks communication capabilities. It is virtually unintelligible.
I can tell some kind of, Audio Mangling, has been attempted. It is now Well Mangled. Even worse I'm sure that it was before. And so you're not exactly, an, Audio Engineer now are you Doug? Of course not. We can tell.
Though you have been able to communicate here. A continuity of a complete lack of communication skills. And so where does this leave us? The title of your video was intriguing and I wanted to hear it.. Because most of it is via our mouths. And that's why we have microphones. Some you can wear known as lavalier a.k.a. lapel a.k.a. high-tech microphones. And you can clip them right to the collar of your T-shirt, amazingly. And they will pick you up wonderfully. Or a desk stand microphone. With one of those wonderful Presidential American Made Microphones the venerable, SHURE Brothers, SM-57. With that nice big, 6 inch long, 3 inch around, gray foam pop filter. You put on the SM-57. You've seen many times on our President. And if it's good enough for our POTUS. It is certainly good enough for any American. You don't need a fake better sounding Taiwanese made large diaphragm microphone thingy. Do not need that. Do not want that. Or anything like that.
To make life even better with your SM-57. Why not also get.. A nice used, DBX, 286, Microphone Processor. It's been around for over 20+ years. I've supplied numerous clients of mine with these. For their voice over narrative purposes.
What this gizmo does is to pre-amplify your microphone. Then to cut the, low-frequency Proximity Effect, down. With the push of a button. Then onward to the, preamplifier gain control. You will likely turn all the way up. And that will work fine with that microphone. Turning that preamp all the way up. Actually makes it sound clearer.
Then it feeds that pre-amplified microphone into a, Audio Enhancer. Where you will turn up the high-frequency one and the low-frequency one. 3/4's clockwise, to the right. And into the Dynamic Range Compressor and Limiter.. And you will turn that up, judiciously. Until most of the little LED lights, are lighting up on every word you utter. This will even out your speaking voice beautifully. But it will also bring up. The background noise in your room.. Which includes the hissing and rumbling. From your air conditioning and heating, fans, washing machines, dryers, traffic, children, dogs. And you don't want to hear all that. So, they made provisions for that. You turn up the Noise Reducer Knob. And as you turn up the knob. Background noise magically disappears and goes away. Along with the awkward, tubby acoustic sound. Of your miserable sounding, abode. Because few apartments,, with nothing in them, really sound good. They sound echoy and tubby overly live and bombastic. That's why we get a DBX-286. Available on eBay. Your choice of silver or black in color. And any year model will do.
Then you just plug the output of that DBX 286. Into your computer, Line level,, audio input. Put on your headphones. And go to town with your voice. You will love the way your voice sounds.. You won't believe the way your voice will now sound. You will actually sound like an adult. And you will fool, everybody. They will never know you are only 14. As it's obvious your scrotum has not yet dropped. It will one year or two from now. Hopefully? Otherwise you will always sound like Dennis the Menace.
