I ❤❤❤❤❤ this video. Shopping my closet instead of wearing the same old few outfits repeatedly is new to me this year and so much more fun to do with a free hour then watching tv show that I am bored with. I am recently retired and my income is more limited now, but I have cloths in my closet to be creative with! Thank you for the great ideas.
Yay!! Yesssss to this 🙌 you have to start seeing it as a fun activity, just like you said. Replacing tv with an hour of playing dress ups! I love this ❤️ xx
Finally I found a place with the content that doesnt made me buy or crave new stuff, but instead is very inspiring in a creative and unique way. There is not enough of it on youtube. Thank you for filling this gap, and I love watching that examples, when you show the inspo and your outfit. It is like inspiring on how to be inspire :O , another deeper level of style advices
Kind of the same tip as the first one you said - I used to take inspiration from flowers when learning what (non-neutral) colors to pair together. Like I love combining shades of orange or lilac with yellow and that is a super common color combination in flowers. Nature even provides ideas on what shades of colors go well together. Think of a beach next to the ocean: I'd never think to combine turquoise with shades of beige or yellow but it just 🤌🏻 works so perfectly. Nature already created it
Happy new year! Something as simple as a specific key word search is so helpful and efficient. 💕 Definitely going to start saving a few film and street style outfit images. Thank you!
I find your videos very inspirational. You had me going to my Pinterest Boards and consolidate 5 of them into one, picking pins I liked (never mind the articles). Including hair, jewelry, etc. An excellent assignment for me! Thank you!
Hello Emily! I´m from Argentina. I love your outfits! You are truly an inspiration to me! I love classic, it is the most comfortable and beautiful thing to wear. Anyway, I would like to know if there is any video combining textures or patterns/prints. I'm still catching up :) Thanks and regards! Mapi
Great video! I often see repetitive tips for this topic, but this felt very fresh and new. Thank you for your hard work. Also, I love that jacket you wore in your Emily in Paris inspired outfit! Where is it from?
Amazing! Thank you! 🙏❤️❤️ It’s a second hand find, from Depop, and it’s from Zara. I got it last year. I searched “peacoat” on Depop to find this specific style 🙏❤️
Happy New Year! I found this video VERY helpful!!!!! I find that I get 'I have nothing to wear syndrome' when I can't be bothered to think! ha ha. I love how you looked at interior design and art works to get inspiration. Sometimes looking at other people's fashion gets a bit tedious, so I want to try and incorporate the design/art approach to creating some original outfits!! Thank you!!!
I love that tan camel color. bag that you use a lot. Could you please link us to something like that? I love the strap, the shape...everything. Thank you so much.
Happy New Year! Thank you for the great video, I love the ideas of shopping your own closet and looking for style elements. Great insight in how to get inspired. I love your channel, you have such a radiant personality.
Holy smokes! I have never thought to use Pinterest that way! 😂 oh my goodness now I’ve gone down a rabbit hole I may never find my way out 😂😂 thank you so much! You’re so inspirational and helpful in making my wardrobe work for me! ❤❤❤
@@EmilyElizabethMay We did it today! We looked on Pinterest for brown pants streetwear 2024 and found some outfits. She wore one today. My daughter has Autism and I am working on not just getting dressed but how you get dressed. She seems to be having fun when we do it!!
Oh yes, sorry I forgot to link it! It's Matt & Nat. I found mine second hand on Depop. This is the link xx looks like it's on sale aus.mattandnat.com/products/azur-bucket-bag?variant=34117673320588
Oh thank you! So glad you liked it. These were a Christmas gift from my partner! I love them and have worn them soooo much already. He got them from Everlane. They should be linked in the description of the video. But here is the link anyway rstyle.me/+mTYfGS6kropMILejqaDxoQ xx (it is an affiliate link)
@@EmilyElizabethMay That's interessting, I've got the same pair of Everlane trousers in ash brown, but I'm really disappointet about it's quality, because first they wrinkle so much and further the texture of the trousers after some washings got really bad (it got kind of stripes, really strange...)..
Oh no!! 😢 that is super disapointing!! I am loving the quality so far, but I've only washed them once. I love the thickness of the material and it doesn't wrinkle too much for me. I wonder if the different colours come up a bit different?! I'll keep you posted if I have any troubles after washing more. Have you emailed Everlane about it? Not sure what their customer service is like, but is always worth a try! Especially because they came up weird after washing. xx@@Martina-qu9vc
Good question! Most of the outfits I made in this video were combinations I had never worn before. So for sure it was helpful. With that being said, I definitely could have put them together myself if I had taken time to play around, but for me sometimes I just don’t have the brain space to create something new and I need that starting point of inspiration to get me going.
