Seeing you cry about exams when you work so hard = đ
I cried everyday before an exam
Try studying in China, you wonât even surviveđ€Šđ»ââïž
Whatever grades you get, youâve worked so so hard, and no matter what you should be so proud. I know you put so much pressure on yourself to do well, but please relax and trust yourself. So many people in the comments are saying âI know youâll ace it and have all A*â, which is such a lovely sentiment, but theyâre putting to much pressure on you. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FEEL PRESSURE FROM YOUR AUDIENCE TO DO WELL, WEâRE ALL SO PROUD OF YOU AND JUST WISH YOU THE BEST xx
THIS THIS THIS! No extra pressure is needed in exam season, it's stressful as it is!
Could not agree more omg
^ thank you so much all. I wanted to write an encouraging message as I know myself how stressful this time is(I just did my As levels) and I just want Lydia to know that she is doing so great, and weâre all so proud!!âșïž
"there's nothing funny, everybody dies"...
I wouldn't stress over the English too much as sooo many people struggled with the comedy q so they'll hopefully be more lenient, and you have paper 2 to bring it back!! :) xxx
Watching this instead of revising for my GCSEâs.....đ„”
Same I only have three more exams then Iâm on summer break for 10 weeks
idk.
What did you get?
@@nicolelawless3199 what did you get
Exams do not show or allow anyone to show their true potential xx
Lydia, you are extremely capable and even though this sounds clichĂš, grades don't define your intelligence. The examiners are always a little more generous than your teachers, so don't think you will do terrible. We all believe in you and you will definitely come out with respectable grades. Good luck with your exams and keep up the hard work!! We love you đđ
Josef Stalin was a good man.
Agree 100% but examiners are often harsher than teachers in my experience đ
I actually hate AQA, they've sabotaged me in all of my exams so far. Literally the same as you, I've learnt so much for them so ask on tiny sections of the spec. So frustrating
Just got to the end of the video. Hope you're okay. I can really empathise, people never believe me when I say I think I've done badly. Just try and move on, and hope your other exams go better. Sending my love x
Tell me about it... Roderigo and brabantio for Othello. What bs...
Lets see what they do to us tomorrowđđ«
Donât worry Edexcel are doing the exact same!
CIE seems to be the only sensible board lol
I feel for you babe I had the same exam and texts, I found both Hamlet questions atrocious I couldn't use any critics or productions in part b despite revising so many! At this point im just moving on...
When I did my A Levels its like they were 'life' - they were everything. Afterwards you realise they are important but your life can go in so many directions that A levels are just a 'part' of that direction. Even totally flunking them is not tragic cos there are so many other options to help you progress.
I would be so frustrated if I didnât have study leave.
Megan Barker We got off for half term and were given mocks straight away when we got back, then part of our maths and english lit GCSE a week later, with school summer exams starting on Thursday and going through until next Friday with a english language GCSE on Wednesday.... and no study leave. A lot of people took the day off to revise on Friday and we got an email telling us that it was illegal :))
Anna omg thatâs awful, how do they expect you to revise for your genuine exams! At GCSE I got all of the summer term off. (I go to private school)
Megan Barker Ikk, it sucks. Thanks for the sympathy! Iâm jealous of you but hopefully theyâll change it at our school cause there were a lot of complaints đ
My school only had a 3 day study leave. My school allows us to have 15 unauthorized absences, so we save them up and skip 2 weeks of school at the end of the year to study
My Crazy World Ah, thatâs cool
exams are never a measure of how hard you worked. Sometimes we feel limited because the paper never lets us show off what we actually know. I hope that regardless of your feelings you actually did good. You always have eng paper 2 make up with that
Tough times don't last ...tough people do..stay strong dear !!!
Aw youre a demon, but so nice.
As always. A demon is always a charmer.
I love that quote but I keep forgetting about it, I should turn it into some design or something I can keep.
I have my sociology A level tomorrow morning and today I have struggled so much and i donât even know how many mental break downs I have had today đ But I have just watched this video and omg I have had a boost of motivation. We can do this, it will be all worth it in the end! đȘđœ thank you for everything đđ
Props to you for putting this out there on CZcams. Exams are scary enough and being vulnerable on camera is really brave đ
I do the same exam board for history and English and I found them just as bad. It's so unfair that examboards try to make trick questions rather than questions that actually test your knowledge. And it's so hard to judge how well you did so it probably went better than how you feel. Good luck with the rest of them and just remember we are all in the same boat so if you found it hard, everyone else did too xx (fingers-crossed for low grade boundaries this year)
GOOD LUCK LYDIA! We know you will end up acing the exams! Keep going ma gurlllđđ
Good luck with the rest of your exams Lydia!! I know youâll do amazinglyđ„°đ
âčyou was crying & that make me sad for a while... don't worry! Everything is gonna be fine at the endđ€
awh Lydia! I relate so much, I've firmed Leeds too and I SOBBED for hours after my first history exam. It's really tough, fingers crossed for the next ones x
As much as I'm sure you will do amazing, remember everything happens for a reason! You've worked so hard and deserve the best xxx
Remember, you did the BEST you could have done, with the content and preparation you did, with the questions you were given. You are worthy of success and you will see the results. We all believe in you! Best of luck x
Good luck Lydia. You'll do amazing!
Lydia, good luck my love! I have every faith you'll do well x
Lydia
You have done your best. We all have seen how hard you worked. And Iâm sure the results will be fruitfulđ„°
Lydia, I really appreciated this vlog. Itâs been my first week of exams for me too and I have felt THE EXACT SAME WAY and youâve helped me realise that itâs okay to be upset. Thank you so much for posting this, keep your head up and go smash the rest of them x
You are an excellent multi tasker,
I just appreciate your work and best of luck for future dear.....đđđ
Lydia go for it!!! I love your vlog so much
I wouldnât worry too much about the Tudor exam!! I know a lot of people had similar problems. I personally loved the source question but my essay writing skills on the threat from Spain question completely went out the window, I donât know why I just didnât have a very strong argument
I was exactly the same! My Elizabeth essay was all over the place, just hope i've done enough.. Good luck to you x
Thanks so much for being raw with us too! I'm feeling terrible about my first two exams too.
I know that emotional support is essentially superficial but please do remember that, like you said, there is nothing more than you could do. We all believe in you!
I feel your pain on the breadth part! I do the stuarts and our source question was on the puritans which have a 0.05 significance rate in our course! it made it so difficult to form an essay that wasn't repetitive. plus our essay questions only focused on the last 50 years of the course and on the topics which have previously been used in past papers.
OMG can we talk about that English paper because that exam threw me off massively :(
Thanks for making this vlog realistic and we all go through stress and pressure and sometimes seeing you are not alone and even CZcamsrs go through it just the makes the experience of watching a video more relatable so thanks
Your tears are full of power, this is the reality of exam season, stay true to yourself Lydia. Wish you all the best x
Thank you for posting such an honest videoâ€
I watch your videos as my daughter is doing her gcse's at the minute & they help me to understand & help her. I think you are a great role model & have a very bright future ahead of you x
I hope you do well Lydia!
Good luck Lydia, you are such an inspiration I know youâll boss through your exams! AQA History is a pain we all feel that donât worry about it too much xx đ€
Lydia, You have worked so hard from so long, All gonna be go well. Good Luck.â€
Yess thanks for making another video like this I was waiting for it
Good luck in your A Level Exams and to anyone else doing them. Fortunately Iâm doing my GCSE Exams
Lydia l love u so much and I will never get sick of your voice !! To prove it I actually have already wanted your uni vlogs and I still came back to watch these vlogs !!! I love u !!đ„°đ„°
sending you all the love, everything always works out in the end. I'm also doing my A-levels in psychology, law and media. And the stress is REAL. Love how real this vlog was, A levels really is so damaging to our mental health and makes us feel like we are not of our best ability constantly but WE GOT THIS! good luck for everything x
Lydia i am damn sure u will do well in your exams...coz all of ur fans have prayed for u.
This vlog reminded me how I felt in my A levels - that Iâd completely messed up and wouldnât get into my first choice uni. But itâs a year later and I just finished my first year at my first choice uni which I got higher grades than I needed for! I bet everyone found the exams as hard as you did so the grade boundaries should reflect that :) Just power on through and youâll be so proud of yourself on results day x
good luck with your exams, i love your channel â€ïž
Good luck Lydia!!
We all struggled on the comedy question so don't worry! I think that if your answer is unique as well then it will help stand out! Good luck!!
No matter what your results are, you have worked so incredibly hard and you really shouldnât put pressure on yourself because you will do well and you will be successful because you have the drive and passion xx
I just love how chill you are and the fact that youâre not killing yourself with studying. Youâre such an inspirational person. Keep up the good work!!!
my heart just breaks for you! best of best of luck with the next few weeks xxxxxx
I was in the exact same place as you last year! Have a good old cry but try not to let your English exam have an impact on the rest of your exams- best of luck!
Thank-you for keeping me motivated for my GCSE's xx I love how honest your videos are!! Best of luck for the rest of your exams! đ
I also did English lit and history at a level and they were so horrible I completely feel your pain! Donât worry though, often when you think youâve done bad youâve actually done so well! Donât worry about uni either, I didnât get the grades for my uni but they still let me in and now Iâm finishing off my final year! Donât panic! Itâll all be okay â€ïž
rooting for you lydia and everyone else in the middle of exams right now, love you ALL
Best of luck for your exams lydia....hope you will do good...loved your videos...đđ
You will be fine lydia ! Push through x
Oh love, youâre such a beautiful, strong and incredibly intelligent young woman! Donât let exams bring you down, my a-levels were miserable and I thought Iâd never succeed at life but now Iâm doing what I truly love, Iâm best in class, Iâm doing nursing school AND go to university at the same time, school doesnât mean as much as it seems at that time x youâll be fine and youâll do AMAZING in the future! I believe in you, keep your head up â€ïž
I literally had to hold back my own tears when I saw you but this just proves that you care and despite any good or "bad" grades you might get, this is the reality of it and it's better to have a cry than to just, as you said, sugarcoat it. I've had my gcse exams these past couple of weeks and I couldn't relate more and I know the stress right now is FRICKIN' HARD but you will get through this and I hope that when all this is over you have an amazing summer ahead of you with those results in August to take you off to Leeds đđđđđđđđđđ
Good luck for your exams Lydia! Hang in there!â€â€â€
Good luck Lydia! You'll ace your exams!
I love u Lydia l love ur study with me videos keep up. The good work
The exact same feeling has happened to me- Iâm doing my GCSEs and I just knooowww I can do so much better than Iâve « proven » in my exams - itâs so frustrating! Good luck with the rest- whatever happens happens and you know thereâs nothing more you couldâve done to prepare! đđ
Good luck Lydia â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
NOTIF SQUAD!! LOVE U LYDIA AND I HOPE YOUR RESULTS EXCEEDS YOUR EXPECTATIONS đ„°â€
dont worry about it!! you will do better than you think, also i feel u a levels are so hard! keep it up!!
Everything happens for a reasonđ the grades you get will get you where youâre meant to be, even if itâs not what youâre trying to manifest right now!xx
Good luck and all for the best for your A levels exams I am sure you do amazingly đđđčđđđđđđđ Lydiavioleta
All the best Lydia
Don't worry lydia you will do amazing
Good luck with your A level exams, I just finished my last uni exam on Thursday and thank god, I was so close to loosing my shit after revising for like 2-3 months straight :>>>>
I feel you sister
Tomorrow Iâll start my finals wish U all good luck đđđŒ
This is literally exactly how I felt after my first two exams! Especially the subject that was supposed to be my âeasierâ subject â€ïž
Seeing you cry is absolutely heartbreaking, having been through A-Levels last year and feeling like I hadnât done enough to get my firm uni choice I know exactly what youâre going through and itâs awful! Remember exams NEVER give you the chance to perform to the best of your ability, no one at all can produce their best work ever under those levels of stress and the people who mark your exams know this is the case and mark accordingly! Youâve put so much work in and youâre going to do amazingly just keep your head up!â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
I totally understand how you feel. I also prepared a load for my psychology paper 1 and messed it up pretty badly, hopefully we can bring it back in the other papers
I did English and History last week (AQA for both) and I found them awful, I'm so relieved seeing someone else upset and frustrated about them xx thank you for being so honest about how you're feeling! â€ïž Also I went to Spoons after my English, it's good therapy đ
You are doing so well Lydia honestly, you are clearly putting in so much effort and we can all see that, please donât be hard on yourself, youâre doing the best you can and thatâs all you can do. Donât worry if the standard of your grades is a little bit lower than you would like, you should still be proud of the work you have done. Dont think too much about the future, focus on whatâs happening right now, and whatever results you get will direct you on the path that you are supposed to be on (your fate will unfold haha) love your content and your persistence is so inspiring xx
Be proud of all your hard work!
Iâm currently 5 exams into my 14 a level exams and this video could not be more of a mood - I wish you the best of luck for the rest of your examsâš
I feel you! I had full marks for my French speaking throughout the whole year, was super confident, until the exam. I got so nervous because of the pressure put on em and the expectations I had of myself that I just completely screwed it up. Was no to my standard and I felt shit. But hey, what can we do now? We tried our hardest.
A-levels are HARD! Exam season pressure is underrated, thank you so much for showing the reality! You should be so proud of how much youâve worked, you literally couldnât have done any more! Just think that if you found it hard everyone else probably did! Keep going babes!!! xxx
I found the OCR English exam hard as well and the 30 mark essay (one where you get choice of questions) was awful. I didn't write no where near as well I could have, didn't include half the information I know and it's so frustrating. It's so so normal to feel how you are feeling so try not to stress! You've not messed up because you have prepared to much and tried your best which is all that matters!! Be proud of yourself â€ïžXx
You definitely did better than you think that always happens. You managed to answer all the questions. Therefore you know more than you think. Stay positive because you worked too hard to fall at the last hurdle â€ïž
Good luck with the rest of your exams lovely xx
I did the exact same exams as you this week but different boards and it is so frustrating and unsatisfying when youâve worked so hard but in the exam things just donât go well. But Lydia you have worked so so so hard and you should be so proud of yourself for all the work you have done! That in itself is an achievement and you have done your best and that is all you can do! Love you lots and keep going! Itâll all be over soon! â€ïžâ€ïž
Good luck champ
We all know you'll ace em
I almost cried with you! You're such a great and intelligent person! You don't need to be sad if it doesn't go like it should've went. That happens to everybody đ You're doing so much and everything you're studying now is enough! đ You're just great!
Lydia - you're doing the best you can possibly do, just rest assured that if you don't get the grades you hoped/worked for and therefore don't get into your first-choice, there will be bigger and better things waiting for you and everything happens for a reason. You'll get through it just trust the process!
I have 4 exams next week:
Further maths 1
Economics 3
Maths 1
Further Maths 2
Which I should be practising for but...
I'm watching videos about people revising... oh no.
@Be Happy! It's usually just simple plug numbers into a formula maths and calculating percentage changes. I don't do business but I've heard that some topics overlap quite a bit.
@Be Happy! Just be aware that most uni courses for economics will usually require an A - level in maths so keep that in mind if you want to continue study with it.
Okay, I'm not from the UK. Why doe you write more than one paper in every subject? Do you learn different stuff for every exam? Do you know that stuff from exam 1 won't be necessary for exam 2 or 3?
Im really interested :)
@@Larahensel for most subjects, yes the papers are split up depending on content, like for further maths each exam paper is on a separate book. However, some are just split up as there is so much content, like Math A-level, paper 1 and paper 2 are not split up in the way we learn it and topics can come up in both papers, just because the subject is so broad.
Whatever grades you get, you know how hard you worked for this exams. Wish you the best of luck! â€ïž
Lydia, when you started to cry...Ugh, I wanted to hug you! We feel you, we know how hard exam season is. I know it's difficult to not beat yourself up about it, I used to put a lot (A LOT) of pressure on myself when I was in college. I had a lot of sleepless nights full of crying And textbooks. Even if you believe things aren't going well, you should still feel so proud of yourself! I'm so, so proud of you for not giving up đ you can do it!! Keep up the great work, babe. It'll work out đđ I'll be sending good vibes your way for the rest of the season!
This is a summary of me for the last 2 weeks doing GCSEâs, so glad Iâm not the only one, especially with A-levels xxxxxx I hope your recovering from the abhor of exams, your amazing and thanks for sharing xxxx
OMD you are so right. I lost time for both my AS exams for English Literature and for History Tudors. Urgh it really sucks if you lose time ;(.
Good luck for your exams - please donât over-stress yourself out by blogging! Love you xxx
Goodluck Lydia. God Bless you. đ
Iâm in year 12 studying history, geography, biology and English literature and watching you cry over the exams is making me so nervous for next year! Iâm sure youâve done amazing regardless xx
I feel for you with all the stress of the exams themselves and the pressure of getting the grades you need. Just on a lighter note, I was amazed that Hamlet is still an 'A' level staple. It was also part of my 'A' level course back in 1966! Plus ça change ... ;)
Good luck with your A Level exams you will smash them đđ»đđ»đđ»
good luck đ
I feel exactly the same, we learn so so much, like my brain is so full and yet there isnt't really an opportunity to showcase it all :( its disheartening to keep revising for my next exams when i feel like its not worth it but oh well! Keep going, we can do it! although i do feel like im going crazy with all of this
I feel you. Not long and we donât have to do Alevels any more. Good luck with the rest of your exams!! â€ïžâ€ïž
