You know what they REALLY need to update with the styles looks? How about since you have all the nice to acceptable premade outfits you set it to so townies only ever randomly generate into one of those as opposed to the worst possible disasters imaginable?
Especially if you can add and edit them. Maybe tag the teen-elder ones by life stage too so granny doesn’t show up in a mini dress
Oh gosh yes. My sim aged up to a teen this morning and her fancy wear was atrocious.
It’s so bad especially with cc like the amount of times I’ve seen a sim with pink dreads the most yellow skin ever with a either extremely provocative outfit or the most disgusting abomination of glitched cc like why😭
Pregnant sims in the Sims 3 always had wants that included eating weird combinations of food. Sims 4 could and will never.

What I want is to be able to favorite items in CAS (maybe even build/buy) so I can find things I like faster. I have a ton of CC and there are so many ugly CAS items that I wish I could just filter out so I can just use the things I like.

gladly twixmex have the better build buy mod that you can favorite items, change the light colors in build/buy mode and also activate cheats on the filter painel (would be great for console users too). I would love a cas version of it and if this was a base game feature, it's already 10 years of this game and that feature just can't be that expensive to do lol

We need a description section for single sims to write down their lore. We have one for the household but not for single sims. We had it in 2 and 3.
YESSS! I miss in the sims 2 where your sims had a Memories panel and also the SCRAPBOOK WAS AWESOME!!!!! I'd take a pic every sim day and put a desc of what they did and kept up w the lore. Now I got to have a fuvcking REAL LIFE BINDER! Bullet journaling about these hoes!!!!!!
We should be able to chop wood for our fireplaces and for the woodworking table. Living off the grid in sims 4 needs more challenging situations...

Craft a table 100 times, and you end up with 100 identical tables. There should be several tables, just like when painting.
The only game play effect of a pregnancy is the inability to perform some activities. Can't go running, but can still go running on the treadmill, or use the punching bag.
We need neighbourhood and world traits and challenges. Make it possible to give traits and challenge to a whole neighbourhood, or even a whole world. Then, how about some global trait ?
They need to add relationships outside of the household as they are only friends with sims within their household. Even then it is just the relationship within households it's as if they just came out of cas, like Bob and Eliza are meant to have a rocky relationship but they have a decent romance and friendship level.
And adding Dynamics to those relationships as well. Like if a pair of sims is step-parent and step-child, they’re just household members and therefore there’s no family dynamic.
A "Gallery Styled Looks" idea is so good
I personally have been waiting for spiral stairs for like past decade lol in a base game, not sum My First Spiral Stairs, again in the base game cause its just fr..ing stairs! that would save so much space in buildings. butThey are SOooo LAZY i agree with u on that!🤬😔

Playing a sims 3 LegEPacy [yes, I know, it's lepacy but I changed the name for mine so it doesn't sound like a bacterial skin disease] right now, and I was a bit _concerned_ that there may not be certain things when I was used to an all-EP game install--but Sims 3 has spiral stairs with the base game. The fact S4 doesn't yet? There's no [swear word] excuse for that nonsense. Honestly.

@@WaterAce168 Yah, looks like they were added to the base game with patch 55 (according to the wiki), so you're correct, since that was the BG patch at around the IP EP.
For the gallery, another update that would be useful would be bedroom/bathroom sorting. I almost never play the sims with multiple people in one household so trying to find a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom bachelor pad that’s not 20x15 takes FOREVER. There are people who are actually not interested in a 3 bedroom blue suburban 😂
I have the opposite problem, I rarely play a single sim for any length of time, preferring families, especially larger ones, and most houses are too small unless they're expensive mansions. Large, but ordinary, houses for large or extended families, with rooms large enough to hold them all, and where the rooms/spaces are usable and functional, enough play space for children, sufficient bathrooms and toilets, etc.

I really need a way to only place 1 side of a railing on stairs as well as deleting 1 title from a floor!
I've got plenty:
1. Colors. --- I say this so much. Just make things match! From woods, patterns, plains... Just everything needs a bigger selection. (AND if they could stop making duplicate items with the new colors that's even better!!)
2. Update lots. --- there's so many lot choices (as mentioned pools and items for infants to children) yet we as players have to do all the work. If i want community gardens, a pool, a playground, etc. I have to add it OR
3. Take off lot restrictions. --- You know how when you edit a lot it says you need toilets, trash bins, chess tables, or so many chairs? Why can't this be more of a "suggestion" instead of requiring the items? That way if you want just a playground for the little ones, all you need to place are swing, the play set, monkey bars, and items for kids.
4. Lot type changes. --- here me out. Why do we have bars, lounges, and nightclubs? They are all basically the same thing and all of them have the same requirements (bar, barstools, tables, etc). I get there IS a difference but to sims it doesn't apply. Then we all use "park" or "national park" to add in anything that we would like in the world like that playground or the garden i mentioned. Or... We have art gallery and museum when those could probably just be the same thing seeing as we only have 2 types of art activities (painting and woodworking) and really who takes their sims to the museum?? I don't those are the most boring lot types with nothing there until i update them to have a purpose. Same goes for why we have so many libraries or gyms. Now with Growing Together we have a rec center which is almost as useless as the rest of these common lots used in every single world as a filler spot to meet sims. Then you go to these lots and there's literally nothing to do that isn't in every other lot in the game. Therefore, there needs to be restriction less/suggested items lot types and a better variety per world because both willow creek and oasis springs do not need a gym, bar, and museum as it is redundant.
5. Where's the urn??? --- a little morbid, but recently playing the game i realized that friends or relatives of my sims do die. Then i spend about an HOUR looking for the urn and have to google the process to get the urn through a series of going to the lot the friend/relative lived on followed by debug cheats to get the urn to appear if it works at all.... SO, can't the urn be mailed to your sim or just be added to their inventory??? -- this leads me to saying a graveyard would also be a great lot type for urns to spawn on.
6. Gutted homes. --- satch said this awhile ago, but some homes should just have restrooms and kitchens in them and nothing else. Because you don't buy a home or rent an apartment fully furnished you buy and bring your own stuff. Not all places need to be like this, because you can rent furniture at select places.
7. Produced items actually showing up / your sims being recognized if they are in certain careers. --- take being an artist, if you sell to gallery shouldn't your painting show up at the museum? If you're an author your books should go to libraries. If you're in one of these careers or say a musician shouldn't other sims recognize your sim if they have certain traits or in the same career? (This would be base game and not like celebrities of get famous... More like how sims supposedly gossip and have good or bad reputation)
How I've missed cemeteries! Make that a lot type and let us pay our respects, or disrespects, to our deceased sims!
Also, I would love to see my writer and artist sim's work in the real world. Please automatically put a copy of their book into the sim's inventory when it's published or make it buyable, because I spent so much time writing bios for a series my writer sim wrote just to lose it all when they published them because I didn't make a copy first.
@@MagicalMochii Exactly! It's something that really doesn't make much sense not to have because in the older games when you published books you received the copy in the mail.
I also miss the graveyards even though I used to go to fish or get death flowers.
It just seems to me like your items just disappearing from the game aside from a pop-up doesn't make the careers or having friends and relatives worth while. Same as why is there ambrosia to bring the dead back if you don't receive the urn or cannot find it within the game.
@@corabeani We get each other lol! I just wish we didn't have to resort to mods to get elements we had in previous games or to add new ones that just make sense for a life sim. I love mods and CC, my mods folder just passed 30GB, but I hate HAVING to rely on them for things that should or have been in previous sims games.

My author makes 2 copies of books before publishing and leaves one in the library - they are available for other households in this save too

My sister thought of this outfit style category ages ago and I can't stop thinking about how useful it would be. Just saving some looks when you feel inspired to create a specific fit would be nice so that when you're busy in gameplay you can just pick one out for those uggo townies and not have to spend an hour in cas.
Styled looks that we can save and reuse, whether for that sim or others, would be brilliant. Especially if makeup, hairstyles, jewellery were included - the whole look. Redoing the cosmetics for every outfit is painful, but saved favourites for each 'occasion' - formal makeup (with several colour choices), everyday makeup likewise, minimal or none for exercise, swimming, bed etc.
Another frustrating thing for me in CAS is hair. If I give a character hair of a particular length, I want to keep that length and its features (e.g. whether there's a fringe or not) for all their outfits. So that very long, loose hair with no fringe for everday becomes an updo with lots of hair and no fringe for formal, a long ponytail or braid for exercise, tied up or tucked into a sunhat for hot weather, and so on.
I genuinely love all of your ideas! Especially the stuff about updating woodworking so we could craft our entire sim's home! I honestly thought that would be something we'd have in Eco Lifestyle or perhaps it's own pack with outdoor or log cabin theming at some point.
That said, right now I'd be happy if they just hurried up and fixed enough bugs for the game to be enjoyable/playable if you own a few packs because the bugs add up to make it all an exercise in frustration.
I miss from sims 3 how you could save your own styles of cas and build mode had a folder you could save your favorite items in and you could find them faster

I want mirrors to be able to move freely like windows. like if you have a bathroom mirror and some of it is being blocked by the high sink faucet. I want to move the mirror above it. I want more horizontal shape mirrors. It would be ambitious but would love to assign doors as bathroom doors and sims will knock on the door before entering. Would love more organization for CAS and Build Buy.
With the move objects cheat you can move them up and when I tested the ones I moved I could still use them.
"bb.moveobjects" to toggle (don't need to do "testingcheats true" before hand)
Then alt +9 to raise and alt+0 to lower.
And please let us freely place things on counters! I hate how we're restricted to them snapping into specific spots unless we place the item, move the counter, then free place the item where we think it should go, only to move the counter back and it's still not quite right!
@@Inuyasha8185 the move objects cheat lets you move mirrors up (but not lower than default)
If you press and hold the ‘option’ key on your keyboard you can place wall objects just about anywhere - I use it all the time for painting collages. (maybe enable the bb.moveobjects cheat beforehand). Regardless, it would still be nice if the grid wasn’t so strict in game

All I want is a way to view the pictures my sims take in like a separate window/carousel so I can scroll through them instead of placing them in the world as individual items. I don’t know why this wasn’t added with the fashion photography career (Moschino stuff pack) but it makes my life so hard 😭
Im a cheesy family gameplay person and I take lots of pictures with the tripod but sorting through them to find the ones I like is a mess

I’d also like to see more pregnant sims, so maybe with the Spencer-Kim-Lewis family instead of adding a toddler or an infant, make Alice pregnant.
I think what would be nicest is updates to neighborhood stories. I want sims to be able to go through relationships from start to finish in the background. Also more options for relationships. Dating, enemies, friends, adopted child/parent. Also if you have a pack with occults it would be nice to be able to change a sim into an occult in CAS. When I am making a household with one occult parent and one either different occult or normal sim, I’d like to pick if the kids were occult or not. Also make ghosts in CAS.
We need a base game refresh where sims tubers remake all the base game lots, maybe even fill in Newcrest 😍
11:38 We definitely had maternity clothes in TS2. They were chosen at random and could not be changed (I think). It would be cool to have some descent variety and the ability to pick per outfit.
I think I would forever want cars, that isn't going to change for me. I would also like to see baby showers as an event, the whole pregnancy cravings thing you were talking about and maybe mommy and me classes or home businesses.
We actually do have baby showers now, Growing Together added them. They're actually pretty cute, there aren't any games but you unlock special conversation topics about the baby and guests go up and give you gifts for the baby.

The pregnancy idea is cute as hell!! That would defo be cool!!!
To add to the temporary pregnancy aspiration events, it would be cool if they had a pregnant sim want to buy baby items, clean obsessively to emulate nesting, have a desire to earn a certain amount of money that's relative to the household's current earning potential (meaning a sim at career level 10 would want to save more than a sim at level 3), have the pregnant sim go through unprovoked or unexplained mood swings, feel any one of the current emotions upon waking due to a weird pregnancy dream, and have new socialization options, such as discussing names (with various emotional outcomes). That would make playing with pregnant sims so much more fun. I wish I knew how to mod or I would do it myself....
Visits to your doctors for antenatal checkups and ultrasounds; visits from midwives if you select a home birth; vitamin supplements; various complications (nothing too confrontational) or issues such as swollen ankles, being unable to put your own shoes on, gestational diabetes or hypertension, etcetera; prospective parents attending antenatal or birthing classes; a baby shower; preparing a child for the arrival of their baby sister/brother.
@@carolinejames7257 hell yes to all of this! If complications and miscarriage isn’t what the player wants, make it an option in settings. An “ask spouse/partner/friend/family member to tie shoes” interaction would be so cute! Give both a tiny mood buff for 15 minutes (even a neutral or negative one if the pregnant sim didn’t feel they did it right 🤣)
EA needs to employ you! Honestly - great ideas. I've been thinking about the workbench myself - it really needs an update, after all these years you can still only do the same old tired stuff - and yes; renewal of the base game cities - how about some playgrounds? There's nothing for children to do! Yes, I know we can make them ourselves or download from the gallery, but as you said, new players might not even be aware of these things - so they really need some loving....
Yes 100% to the styled looks. It would be nice if they updated all the previous packs with toddler and infant cas items. Like just convert the toddler cas items to infant and some of the child clothes to toddler. And honestly it would, don't hurt to take some of the teens clothes and make them for children. Also most of the hairs should be available for all ages. Of maybe update some of the case items. Nobody wears that many low rise jeans.... Like its so hard to find a pair of pants for C-E that isn't low rise. ...
A base game world refresh would be amazing. And they could so easily do it by involving the community. Get people to submit builds or families that could be official lots/townies.
Custom styled looks would be amazing, so I could copy my everyday outfits to hot and cold weather wear 😅
Sometimes, you don't want your sim to wear make-up, such as going to bed or going to the gym. And I think it would be great to upload CAS outfits to the Gallery. But how about uploading recolors to the gallery, such as wallpaper on a wall as a room. Like they used to do with wall art. There are items in woodworking that are worse than that, such as the toilet, the guitar, the violin, and the table. I agree, they should look as good as the furniture that is from the fabrication machine--speaking of which, what is up with that? Fabrication machines don't try to drown the workers. With fences, I use a halfwall where I want my gate and then use a door like the one you shown, the brown sliding door, or the white and glass one from base game if I use a modern fence.
Oh, pregnancy cravings were so fun!! You can crave really gross food and no one will say anything except, well the baby might have needed the vitamens. I could go on and on about cravings. How about morning sickness as well, and the parents having woohoo while pregnant, or the pregnant person going for walks all night to bring the baby into the world, and then there is the going to the bathroom 20 times a day--good times...sigh.
I LOVE the styled looks idea. I mean it is kinda possible, with the one of the freelancer careers, you can make outfits for men and women, and townies and npcs will actually walk around in those outfits. I always have at least one sim with that career, that I can turn to and create different outfits that the townies will wear. Sadly you can only, have 5 different outfits for men and 5 for women, so 10 in total. So it is kinda possible. Also the career is basegame, so the coding is in basegame.
you can already craft furniture with the eco living expansion pack. If they made that a base game feature then a huge selling point of the pack would be gone

I agree about the gallery and also for the woodworking resin is a huge thing right now. Get resin dinning table with floral designs, even a woodworking career with more money for the resin. I love woodworking in game but its not utalized that much.

These are what I want:
1) CREATE A WORLD and the ability to change names and delete worlds you don't use without losing the access to all the other features in the EP. I have been wanting this for ages!
2) CREATE AN OUTFIT and the ability to only let townies spawn in those outfits rather than the random monstrosities they do end up in.
3) MORE STUFF FOR YOUNGER LIFE STAGES more toys more playground items, more afterschool activities, and more younger sims out and about at parks and libraries.
4) MORE HOBBIES FOR ALL AGES like add more instruments, skateboarding, pottery, sculpting, ballet dancing, more collections.
5) IMMERSIVE NEIGHBORHOODS sims living their own lives, more things to do, allowing hiking trails and snow hills in other neighborhoods for sims to use.
6) PLAYED SIM PAINTINGS, MOVIES/TV SHOWS, AND BOOKS EVERYWHERE like when my sim paints a masterpiece and sends it to the museum, why doesn't it appear in the museums in the game, like an event or something where the sim puts their painting in the museum so next time they visit they can see it. Also being able to buy the books that the sims publish everywhere instead of having to copy it over several times. Being able to watch a Sims Movie in a movie theatre or on the TV.
I'm one of those player who own very few packs. I can't use the gallery because it doesn't filter by only packs I own, so that would be my first choice.
I also stopped buying packs a few years ago (except Growing Together) so I understand this. What I usually do is filter by 'Most Popular' since most of the gallery items with the most views/downloads are ones that were uploaded years ago, so none of the newer stuff is in them
Would really like to be able to save my own styled looks, as well as being able to create folders for build/buy or at least be able to favorite items
God, it's not realistic but I so want a gallery overhaul. I keep thinking how expensive it is to host all those builds (probably not prohibitively expensive) but if they overhauled the gallery so that your updates to old builds could automatically be linked. Your could delete your old listings.
And if they could fix the freaking hash tags so you could search by multiple and/or fix the filters. Descriptions could be shorter.
Not to mention I haven't been able to follow new people for like, 6 months. Occasionally a like will work but only when I'm testing to see if likes work.
So, I comment more to show my support and download a lot more as a way of saving things. I just think that the gallery needs a complete overhaul. And adding styled looks to that could be lart of it.
About the wood working- i dont see them making brand new furniture just for the work bench, but they can add a "can be crafted" tag to some items if they look mostly made out of wood and than you have the option of cafrting them, while still being able to buy them normaly (and crafting them yourself would obviously be cheaper, in order to reward the player for mastering the wood working skill) I think there are some items in eco livestyle like that, you can buy them from bb mode just like any item, but you can also craft them with the fabricator thingy for cheaper.
yes I really want to create my own style! also would be fantastic, when random generatet townies would where them, also you can save them as: style for teenager, style for elder sim, style for vampire, style for spellcaster, style for sims you see in world xyz

I'd like to be able to filter the gallery by fashion type or by decor styles. We already have Storybrook, Modern, Gothic Farmhouse, Island ect. tags for furniture, but if they could do that for all aspects of Build/Buy and then let us be able to filter through lots that would be great. The sheer amount of time I spend trying to figure out what item name/hashtag to use and still having to scroll for a while trying to find builds that fit what I'm looking for is insane.
In the CAS, it would be amazing to be able to save by thème your outfits and in the buy/build mode too. I’m doing medieval rp very often and I need to look for all my medieval / fantasy thing and I have tones !! I’m doing a History challenge starting from prehistory and I’m currently at the Ancient Era. It would be amazing not to have to waste so much time. Ok, I know, it’s partly my fault for having so much ccs but I’m sure even simmers playing without ccs would find that practical.
I've had three dates where my date asked me out and after a tense time, said not to call them again. A couple of game days later, they want to do something. The Friendship Bar and Romance Bar didn't change. One time a servo I built asked me out and I arrived, not at the place they mentioned, but in the middle of nowhere. I ended the date and the Romance Bar dropped from 25 to -3.
I would like to see something like that when my date says to not call them, the Romance Bar should drop. Not really a problem to program that into the Base Game.
On your point about making the gallery more intuitive, I think when you search on the gallery you can untick the packs you don’t own, and that should allow you to filter out items with packs you don’t own? Maybe I’m wrong!
I would love being able to save a look. I would save a default nude one so that not every outfit has three different piercings, ugly hats, and mismatched clothes. I hate how randomized CAS makes Sims.
i really like Dream Home Decorator because i love to furnish but it is so annoying that none of premade townies have their likes and dislikes set. Once i had bathroom renovation at Goth house and they wanted Island style like in Sulani😬
and why, WHY none of premade townies are not update after Seasons pack release, they wear so goddamn riddiculous clothes for hot and cold weather...
and why the hell hearing aid is in accessory category? What the fuck? It spawn randomly for some outfits like it is something you put on to look good, not because you need it to hear properly!
and why we still can't place fence poles wherever we want? If you want to use glass fence it will have three kilometres long but only two poles - on the beggining and on the end!
and why its so hard for them to just make matching fences and railings and gates?
or fence railing only one one side?
or why roof patterns are disgusting white on the bottom?
why freezes dont work properly?
why roofing clips inside sometimes?
why they won't add this little cog (like in kitchen counters) for curtains and carpets to change sizes for needed one?
why it so hard to make matching couches and sofas, to be two and three seaters in matching style?
and why they put "sets" of furniture, i mean they give us a desk, they give us a chair AND they give us a desk with chair as separate object?? For what??
and this City Living posters and paintings, hundreds of them and every in one swatch, just to trash your catalog, the same issue with basegame floral wallpaper

Alternately add this to the Hobby pack I so very much want. It would fit great. Woodworking, pottery, and sewing as well as baseball and volleyball (normal and beach) and much more. No world needed, just give us a bunch of skills, lot traits/challeges, and have CAS and Build/buy be mostly locked behind gameplay, a lot of gameplay.
Let's just update the entire EA team with modders and call it a day lmao
I know this is something for a base update but there is a mod for the woodwork bench where you can actually make all the counters and even a toddler potty and so much more. Its on mod the sims
I really dislike the fact that the sims doesnt want me to wear any jewelry to bed for example yes i remove my glasses but i always keep my earrings in and keep my nosering in and keep my necklace on i find it unrealistic as i am pretty sure i am not the only one thwt keeps that kind of stuff on and the fact that certain earrings are only every day but not sports ect but are still close to the ears so no sports risk like the big ear hoops would be like come on just let me keep them in
You can close the filter tag (i.e sleepwear, feminine, sportswear, etc.) and you’ll be able to choose from every outfit. 😉

If I came up with a realistic list it would be endless! Lol 😂 the thing that I miss the most is lore! I understand this is a sandbox game, but I love the little mysteries and Easter eggs found in the sims 2, and the sims 3! Even if sentiments relationships inventories were updated to create a sort of "story mode" I would be happy.
I say this all the time, but I want more hair color options. They give so many options for skin tone and makeup. Why not hair color? Id rather have the hair option vs makeup sliders
I so desperately want matching floor tiles and floor paint to the worlds in the game. I hate how I can't make a fake pavement on my lot without the floor tiles matching. It's such a small detail so I doubt we'd ever get it added.

The "craft entire house" was in one of the sims 4 initial videos - a woman who wanted to make her house all out of wood. Look it up - false advertising? 😂

sims 3 pregnancy actually had consequences based on if you were in more good moods and both parents read the two pregnancy books!
Where are the drum kits?? Why do we just have guitars and violins, the sims 2 had bass and drums! And I only just realised they've updated the mic to be able to sing through it not just tell jokes.

im still mad that I went on a trip and missed half of it, i didnt even get the login rewards... I own almost all the packs... ive bene playing since sims 1 and Sims online.. yet they wouldnt just leave in the rewards for a while longer
You can get the log in rewards from lots people have made in the gallery - they have lots where all the log in rewards apart from the trait are in the gallery build and you can use a cheat to get the trait i believe
Also I f*cking hate the lack of aliens! And when they do decide to show up, they look weird, wtf is the outfit they wear. God, I miss the Sims 2 😢

I hate it that pregnancies only lasts 3 ingame days, even if you set the lifetime longer. I mean, when my sims go on holiday or have just a weekend, after that, they are ready to go into labor. They really should let us set the pregnancy period. That feels so unrealistic.
