i was down til he said the overproduction of art was nauseating. yak wtf. to say that art and the stock market should be separate things is annoying too. there is art for everybody, and if everybody makes art then everybody can have it. its a fractal, global market. investors love it because its something beautiful they can take a chance on. and its f*cking alive and uncontrollable!

No women at his dinner table, now that is reductionist.

he strikes me as a pompous a$$ who insults certain art connoisseurs . who cares if a client can't appreciate the art work the way he does - is he not going to sell it to them? I'm certain that he will. If people want to trade art work or invest in art work or hang it in a closet, so what if they do? His commentary rubs me as elitist. He's a business man, not an artist. He's entire job is to be an intermediary between the artist and a buyer of said art work. He needs to stick to basic gallery business principles and quit insulting his $8mm buyer, should one show up. Gosh, if that's his biggest problem - "my customer is spending $8mm on this painting, but i don't think he really appreciates it the way i do..." This dude is nothing more than a persnickety gob.
