Love to see the advancements made since the LA era. I remember EDC when we had to search for the landing strip in the desert! Now that goes back. Im excited to see whats in store for us at EDC 20. Getting fired up just thinking about it! Great job Insomniac team!

How do you continue to go when it's so shitty? I try to have fun but the new vibes and new comers and new music just mess it up real bad for me
+James Leon Nostalgia, to be honest. My friends and I made it our annual tradition to come together and remember the old times and vibe together. For the most part the Techno and Funk stages are where we end up. Never the main stage and most def not the Trap stage. I can't tell you how many fights we have witnessed at these events. We'll eventually stop attending Insomniac massives and focus on some of our local events that aren't super marketed for money.
+Sean yeah man I've been getting to this point where I have a great time with my friends and seeing acts I wanna see, neon garden is always good , and yeah the smaller stages are always better, but the new music sounds the same, I feel like at every stage I'm hearing the same songs over and over in every set. Music used to be very different between stages and now it feels like djs play the same stuff and don't care because the crowd eats it right up . I'm tired of All the mainstream trash going on . I fell in love with this scene because of the music and vibes but it seems like both are slowly fading away and now it's all about the "experience " I hate to sound like a hater but it's just getting hard for me to enjoy . I think this year will be my last EDC
Never ever seen a fight at any insomniac even I've been too. Let alone EDC. You receive the energy that you put out. Simple as that

Gosh even though EDC now is way closer to me now, I live in Vegas, I still miss taking a vacation to LA for EDC there. I went to it in 2010 when it was at it's last year there at the Colosseum in LA, I'm glad I at least got to go there once when it was still in LA. I do have to admit, though, it's way more convenient now that's it's in Vegas where I live to go to the festival then be able to just go home and sleep in my own bed afterwards lol.
My first EDC was in 2000 in Tulare at the World Ag Expo in Tulare and my last was last year in LV. Can't wait to go again this year!!!

since 2010 going strong!!! ...i got the feeling i got back in 2010..going to be epic this one 20 year anniversity ...and yea scene change and different young vibes now ,alot of party goers .in the end tho me n my group been going with love great vibes so the energy you put u get back for all those of you being negitive on edc..dont focus on the fights or people u see trippin or being a fool dont acknowledge or give energy to that i gurantee you will have the time of your life live in the moment ..last year i felt that energy i havent really felt since edc 2010 this year going to be amazing with those beautiful souls under electric sky see you there!!!

Notice how there's nothing for 1999 to 2007. That's when it was "in that shitty venue in San Bernardino" lol as the guy in XOXO says! I was there in 2004 and it's true. This show is nothing like it used to be. It's become an amazing carnival experience that's expanded 1000 times over what it was! Not that I didn't have an amazing time back in the day but I do feel like I missed out a little bit when I see what it's become. Oh well I can still go to Vegas one of these days even if I am now in my forties!
I found out about EDC and all the other festivals in 2008 when I was still in middle school lol that's not bad when everyone else still listened to crap radio and I was the only one in the whole school who knew good music xD

Been going since 2013, and going this year! So psyched! Yeah, I agree that it is getting less and less PLUR. I'm sure if I had attended it 10-15 years ago, I would think it now is completely different, cause well it is. It is getting more popular, it has gone more mainstream, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Unfortunately, more money will be involved, but the heart of the "experience" is PLUR and music. You find more people attending that are not as nice each year, but I don't care. It's nothing compared to the 10,000s of people who are so wonderful! Hell, it beats the real world anyday! EDC 2050!!
