I just got one of these old school nitro savages with double red shocks at each wheel. On a real car, the shock is not meant to rebound at all, just dampen. It softens the action of the spring and the spring dictates ride height basically. But with these, you want the shock to be a little “springy” as well so the truck doesn’t sag. Is this about right?
i guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Bishop Cullen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
What kind of oil I can use for my savage shocks ? I'm from Costa Rica and I don't have those kind of oils . May be some different type of oil . I saw people use baby oil other used car oil .
Hi mate thanks for the video. I've just got my savage and all the shocks were making a scratchy/squeaky sort of noise. I took the cap off and the oil is covered in bubbles, is that caused by faulty seals? Thanks
Adamski that noise could be caused by a couple things. It could be bad seals, scuffed or bent shock shafts or the oil has simply not been bleed properly. Check for oil residue on the shock, if you see any wipe it off and if the oil comes back change the seals and check the shafts. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the vid, I'm redoing the shocks on my Savage xl, are the socks on the X the same size as the XL? and you said you were using 35 oil for the front shocks but what do you use on the rear?
Tank-416 Gaming the shocks are the same size depending on the year. I used 35 in the front and 40 in the rear but depending on your terrain I would go with oil that’s a little lighter

Raj Gill it’s pretty much the same concept as a real car. It’s just all preference how you like your shocks setup.

I wouldn’t really recommend anything other than shock oil but if you do, use something thick. Baby oil and most other “household” oils are too thin
@@thenitronation5815 thanks 👍 so may be some car oil but thiker
