Hi, I just got anterior bite turbos done, and I literally cannot eat and cannot speak properly. My dentist used this to prevent crossbite of my front teeth for braces. I was wondering if you can use posterior bite bumps to prevent anterior crossbite, because that would make my life so much better. Thank you very much!

I have a deep bite and put braces on about 5 months ago. My orthodontist chose to put the upper braces first until there is space for the lower ones, and he will not use any bite turbos. I feel like this way it is taking way too much time and I don't feel like my bite is opening. Can the deep bite be fixed this way without any bite turbos?

That really doesn't open your bite with RELATIVE extrusion- watch this video and talk to your doctor- czcams.com/video/tvAICrqsBFg/video.html
Tell him you'd like to have relative extrusion with anterior bite turbos or a posterior bite plate and you want something less time consuming and see what he says

I’ve got posterior bite turbos but they keep grinding down in at least 2 weeks and then I end up braking a bracket what should I do because my orthodontist thinks I’m just making it an excuse ?

What about the "personal preference" of the patient???? It’s not up to the dentist to decide whether a patient has to accept parts of any medical or dental plan! It is the patient who will instruct the dentist (or doctor if the issue is a non-dental medical issue) what he / she is prepared to accept! I hate the arrogance of the medical profession!

And you are totally right. These videos are more made for dentists who want to learn orthodontics but it's always great when a dentist gives you options and if they're not open to giving you options it might not be a right fit for you

It really depends on the severity of your deepbite, what wires you are in and if you are wearing elastics

Hi, my orthodontist put posterior bite bumps on my molars for avoidance of brace crashing in the anterior teeth. He said it will be 3 months, but it hurts way too much and I can’t even chew or eat anything that is not liquid
    Is this normal?

How long have you had them on? They shouldn't hurt after a few days- I wonder if you have a cracked tooth? Maybe ask your regular general dentist to take an xray?

@@Straightsmilesolutions I’ve only had them for 2 days, + along new braces; I know that might be why they hurt so much, I am just very nervous because of only being able to drink liquids. I will take an xray if pain persists beyond one week.
Also I wanted to ask. Can bite blocks be placed on second or third molars? That would be better for me since I don’t have braces on those yet, and maybe it would hurt very much less 🙏
Thank you very much for answering my concern. I’ll stay subscribed for more content :)

Oh ok it's gonna get better but ask your dentist if you have concerns, @@soakingtexas also, yes they can be placed further back but harder for the dentist to drill them off later
