  • 12 Reasons People Should Take Coenzyme Q10 Every Day - Coenzyme Q10 Health, Beauty and Performance Benefits
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a vitamin-like compound that plays a crucial role for energy production within the body, including the heart, also it helps protect the cell membrane and the arteries from oxidative stress and from inflammatory damage. Deficiency of CoQ10 compromises the function of cells, and people with certain conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, Parkinson’s disease, gum disease, as well as those taking statins that are cholesterol lowering drugs, tend to have low levels of CoQ10.
CoQ10 is an essential nutrient and has a number of beneficial effects, and represents an important natural treatment for a variety of health conditions.
The health, beauty and physical performance benefits of CoQ10 include:
    Is Needed for ATP Synthesis
    Improves Sport Performance
    Reduces Feeling of Fatigue
    Helps Protec Against Muscle Damage
    Helps Protec Against Oxidative Damage
Helps Improves Energy Production by the Heart
Helps Improves the Heart Muscle Contractility
    Contributes to Lowering Blood Pressure
Is Vital for the Nervous System Health
Protects the Skin from Toxins and Free Radicals Damage
    Is Needed To Manufacture Collagen
    Helps Prevent Atherosclerosis

I am 62, and have been taking 100mg of the Ubiquinol form of coenzyme Q10, along with 20mg of pqq (pyrroloquinoline quinone) daily for several years with excellent results. Pqq increases the number of mitochondria in the cells, which normally decline noticeably in people my age. I have vastly improved my diet, and cut out alcohol. My arthritis and gum disease have vanished, and I have loads of energy. This stuff works!

I have a pace maker and defibrillator and the battery ran out. When they put it in the doctor told my daughter that I would only have about 1 to 2 years to live cause I was in complete heart failure. I had it put in in 2008. Well I just went to have the new one put in by the same Dr. He was so surprised to see me. He ran a test and found my heart completely beating normal. The only thing different is I started taking coq10.

I've been taking a statin and I asked my previous doctor if I should be taking CoQ10 and you know what he said, "No, you don't need it". I'm so glad I'm not seeing that doctor now, he was horrible on my last visit which I then sought to see a new doctor.

At 23 weeks pregnant I started having bad vein swelling on my legs. It got painful. I also have borderline high BP and a history of preeclampsia during the end of pregnancy so after doing lots of my OWN research. My OB just had me get an ultrasound of my leg veins to check for clots and after I got the clear they just said to go get some of those sexy compression hose. $70 later, I heard about CoQ10 and asked my OB about it. He asked why I wanted to take it and I told him that I heard that it can help my vascular system (which includes veins) and he said to go for it. It’s only been a week and I have yet to have the painful swelling of those veins! I’m blown away!

I got her to take 200mg per day of Coenzyme q10 (doctor's best) and within few days she told her chest/heart was feeling "lighter". Doesn't have the stuffy/tight feeling she felt over the last 1-2 years. BP now around 140. This shit works.

Suggest you also take K2 which ensures that calcium goes to the bones and not the arteries and also a good multivitamin. I had a heart attack 10 years ago and was put on a variety of drugs including Statins. Felt so bad, joint pains etc that life was not worth living. I had been told by a pharmacist to take CoQ10 ( the lighter coloured capsule as it's easier for the body to absorb) as it offset the dilution that Statins cause in the body. I threw the statins away but continued with the CoQ10 which also helps the body's muscles heal (the heart is also a muscle) although the medical profession will state that this cannot happen with the heart. The original damage to the heart muscle which was estimated at 15%/20% ( I'm told it only recovers at 2% per year) is almost undetectable now. Any doctor I see still tries to reintroduce me to statins and I firmly refuse.Just my experience, you should do your own research to establish what is right for you. Good luck and good health. From Australia.

Another study showed massive reduction in cancerous tumors after again taking high doses of this product. I discovered these studies because I was diagnosed with arterial fibulation and a heart murmur which this product massively helped. These studies were done way back in the 1980's

I've been using CoQ10 since a heart attack in 2005 when I had 20% damage to my heart. A Pharmacist advised I start it especially if I was on statins and as I'd had hesart damage as it was a muscle repairer. I discontinued the statins as they caused severe muscle problems, but continued with the CoQ10.My annual heart check up indicated the same each time for 7 years when it no longer showed any damage. Evidently the heart CAN heal itself but slowly at around 2% per year, but this is not commonly accepted by the medical profession. Thestatins actually deplete CoQ10 from the body, and it's vital for muscle health, and the heart is a muscle.

I'm using this for CFE/ME. I don't know what the maximum possible dose is. I am desperate to get my energy back. I guess the individuals biochemistry will determine how able to body is to uptake and optimize its effects. In this case a higher dose wont matter too much if the body is too compromised to access it effectively.

If you've ever had an "eye twitch" start taking CoQ10! I had a customer that is a nurse recommend this as I had an eye twitch for several days that wouldn't go away. Within a few days of taking CoQ10 my eye twitch is gone! I've been taking it ever since. I was taking 100mg daily but my last order I went to 200mg just to see if I could notice a difference. Since I'm around 40 years old I will be going back to 100mg on the next order. I think 200mg is a little much and not worth extra cost.

I remember moving house in 2017. After moving the heavy desk and bed...I was completely exhausted and had to sleep for 6 hrs and had muscle pains for another 48 hrs. In late 2018, I moved again - this time it was worse because it was a heritage building on the third floor with only a staircase. After finishing, I was so tired and sore, I could only sit... couldn't even lie down for 30 minutes. My new roommate had a bottle of CoQ10 (Ubiquinone) on the kitchen shelf. I took 200mg with a glass of water. Then I hit the bed. 30 minutes later, no exaggeration, I woke up - very little soreness - just a tingling really, and at about 75% energy (from a low of maybe 20%).
Only thing is, if I do not exert myself - CoQ10 has no discernable positive effect on me at all.
Still, its useful because its made it easier to workout with weights without getting sore. Also read its good for CKD and diabetes - both of which I have in a mild form.
So, I think I'll be taking it for life.

Although the body can synthesise Coenzyme Q10, however, this ability decreases with age and disease. Inadequate levels of coenzyme Q10, are often observed. There are numerous factors that can lead to inadequate levels of coenzyme Q10, including insufficient dietary intake, reduced absorption because of gastrointestinal conditions, impaired biosynthesis, increased requirements because of toxicity, infection or disease.
