    When the Bizarre Ride came out, those of us that partook, found a hidden gem. It’s, for me, an all time album. Highly suggest digging into it.

    There was a lot of really cool hip hop groups at the time Pharcyde came out--East Coast and West Coast! 🥰💝
    They had a song from the same albim--their debut song-- "Your Mama"! The video is hilarious!

    Also, mixing engineers blended vox and music more equally, but damn, those 12 bit samplers were FIRE!!!!

    Correction: not the hook but Phat Lip's portion of the verse is what Joe used as well as sampling some of the melody from Pharcyde, not the chorus (hook) as I stated earlier

    Pharcyde had a smooth sound, this tune got me into them. If you haven't yet, check out some Gang Starr for some lyrical education and deep beats

    THE end... but POSSIBLY the masterpiece of rhe entire Native Tongues influence on Hip-Hop.
    And I miss this damned style more every time some douchebag in Hip-Hop puts out an album.
