    That's one wilderness that's on my list! East Fork looked Tenkara-Tastic! Columbine Lake looked like a nice area. Pentad was a pretty sweet camp! Trout Cakes! I had to evacuate my partner on a trip with a broken fib/tib and ankle. You never forget the sound of those rotors out there. Day 5 had some nice lake fog! That valley from Jordan Pass was amazing! Jack Frost got you at Wounded Man! Lots of shrooms! Trout Cakes to finish it off! I hope one of these days I can get out with you guys! Great trip!

      @@mountainwanderer Mhm, been reading a lot lately about the indigenous tribes of what some Native tribes call Turtle Island/Anishinabe of North America and Abya Yala(land of the Four quarters) in South America(I recently learned the Mayans call themselves "children of the sun", which is what the Spokane tribe calls themselves as well); I have met many people here in North Idaho who say they are part Apache, Blackfoot, Cherokee as well as other tribes, so I wanted to learn the tribes I was connected to(I found out I was connected to the Mapuche/Patagonians of Patagonia(Chile/Argentina) who I believe are also connected to the indigenous Japanese Jomon of Japan/Hokkaido(maybe even Pacific Northwest tribes such as the Tlingit), the Quechua(connected to Tibetans; may also have a connection with the Jomon), Mayans, Chibchan tribes related to Kogi, Eastern Plains and Forests North American tribes(I connect with the Lakota saying "Mitakuye oyasin", which means "we are all related"), Zapotec("people of the clouds") of Southern Mexico as well as healing with Mixtec("people of the rain"), Amazonian , and then a wee bit of Sorono Desert and Arctic Islanders(connected to Inuit), totaling to 16 percent of my rainbow ancestry); it's brought a lot of healing; for me, when people ask me who I am or "what are u?", I am still part Irish(as well as Spanish, Italian, Scottish, Welsh/Breton Brittany, Basque, Norse/Scandinavian, French, German, Illyrian, Greek, Amazingh,Egyptian, and so much more lol; I have a podcast on my CZcams channel sharing the rainbow in depth) or really Gaelic going back to the time of Milesians and even the Tuatha De Danann(Halloween or Samhain actually goes back 4,000 to 5,000 years and I saw some parallels with the Mexican Holiday of the Day of the Dead), but I also tell them now I am the rainbow for I have so many rainbow roots that make me who I am, or as the Lakota and Hopi speak about the White, Red, Black, and Yellow man coming back together as we bring the tribes together(my English/Irish/Jewish/Apache friend Joe here in North Idaho tells me "we are all one big family"(I hope I can maybe visit the Coeur d'Alene(Schitsu'umsh) Indians again; been a long wee while since I have been to their powwows); slan go foill(bye for now) 🔥🌧🌈🌊⛵🌬

      @ShiningNoctowls Před 10 měsíci

      @@mountainwanderer That's good to hear(it would be nice to speak to them again next time I see them, whether spiritually or physically); I believe bridging the gap between the tribes of the rainbow(indigenous and non-indigenous, or as Wowita Uha Muni(meaning "Walks with pride"), a Lakota elder would say, "you are the Native American now; Mitakuye Oyasin(we are all related); Peter Santenello, you are not solely an Italian German English Ukrainian Roman, you are also Native American too now; you were borne here, right?" For me, when the shift(also with my Canadian/Canadian American friends too) can go from "well we just packed up and moved here" to "we want to have a deeper healing connection with the land and the people who have lived here for thousands of years" this is part of how we heal ourselves and the land as we bring the tribes of the rainbow together; my Uncle German who has lived among the Cherokee for over 40 years now in Cherokee North Carolina calls me the "Celtic healer" as well as appreciating the rainbow("rainbow healer or Gaelic rainbow healer too" lol); I believe we can do it indeed as we come together; slan go foill(bye for now) 🔥🌧🌈🌬🌊⛵🌲

Hoping you’ll have some winter trips as well. More so, hoping to get the time to get out myself and not just vicariously. Hate it when life is too busy. Absolutely! We use what's on hand, but there are a couple key items. First is the toasted english muffin. Gotta have that! It we have some butter we'd melt that on to the muffin, but then we put some cheese on it and the key ingredient, fresh trout from the water to the fire! We top it off with a little tartar, and there you have it, Trout Cakes!
