      Just don't put Deftones in that genre. Chino hates being put in that genre cause thats not where the band lies when it comes to sound and has rejected that genre. With that being said, he is fine with those who like that genre and says "Just like what you like. Who cares?" .

    • @Brian25091
      @Brian25091 Před 3 lety

      @Cyberdemon Mike According to Chino, no they aren't. You can find interviews or an interview where he says that they aren't. It's just like Brandon Boyd who also says that Incubus isn't Nu Metal. They were just put in the genre. Which Brandon says that he hates cause that's not who Incubus is as a band. Just like Deftones.

      @CYB3R2K30 they definitely started out as a nü metal band...people literally called them baby korn in '95, but they've ascended into something totally different later on, you can't even put into a genre...pretty much made their own genre, and no one's been able to make anything similar to it

    Look up Woodstock 99 riots. They blamed limp bizkit for it apparently. But it was like a 3 day festival that had 220k people in attendance with no shade in 100 degree weather where they charged 4$ for a 12oz water and the portapotties over flowed and they also bursted the water tanks cause they got sick of waiting in line 2 hrs just to get a sip of water which mixed with the portapotty over flow and everyone was jumping in it. The ply wood you see in this video was from them breaking down an electrical tower

    The sad thing is that Rage Against The Machine bassist was disgusted and apologized about the fact that Limp Bizkit was inspired by them. I don't remember what the bassist said but he kind of told people that he or the whole RATM band don't like that they inspired a band like LB... I love both bands but I understand RATM coz they/Zach don't write lyrics about girls, parties, personal life or anger management issues.. RATM has always been that band who's against the system not partying all day and moshing and being angry at the things that're going on with your personal life.

    • @blachubear
      @blachubear Před 3 lety

      I found it funny that the bassist said that but one of the reasons Rage broke up the first time was the incident he pulled during the 2000 MTV VMAs when he got on top the one of the sets and didn't want to come down. Zach wasn't happy that the bass player did that, months later, the band broke up. Rage shouldn't worry about LB, they should about their own business.

    • @RastaSaiyaman
      @RastaSaiyaman Před 2 lety

      @@blachubear Actually the reason why Tim Commerford did that Stunt at the VMA's had nothing to do with being disgusted about Limp Bizkit citing them as influences.
      The TRUE reason he did that was because of the Winners of the awards being announced in advance before the shows starts. So Limp Bizkit KNEW they were going to win that award. Commerford did the stunt to point out how fake the VMA awards are.
      It's also not the first time that something like that happened, in 1994 at the VMA's REM won the award for best video for "Everybody hurts" but as they walked on to accept the award, MCA of the Beastie Boys walk on as well to protest the thing, because their video for "Sabotage" was also nominated. Yeah, if that sounds familiar... THAT'S where Kanye West got his "I'mma let you finish" shtick from.

      @@RastaSaiyaman Oh yeah I remember those moments. Imagine going to an expensive festival where they have taken all of your water and food at the entrance, they ask you to pay around 12 dollars for a bottle of water during a heatwave, there's no functioning toilet, human feces everywhere, the running water is contaminated so you must buy their overpriced water instead of refilling it from the fountains, there's no freaking shade so you are sunburned, there's no security and the type of music they chose, is basically telling you to fight that greedy system, you either sense something is going to happen from the beginning and leave or stay and break stuff lol

    its funny u mention rage, because they followed limp bizkit during woodstock and When Zack De La Rocha began the infamous lyrics in his usual whispered tones, bassist Tim Commerford broke away from the group and set alight the American flag that had previously been innocuously draped over their amps. The flag went up quickly and incited an already riotous crowd into a near-frenzy of rock and roll liberation. I'm pretty sure they brought down a tower in the crowd if I'm not mistaken. Wish I woulda been there,
