My dad surprised me with one of these a month ago but in a worse state, lots of small problems and scratches but drives like a dream, at first I wasn't impressed and planned on getting something else as soon as possible but I very quickly fell in love and now I just can't wait to restore this amazing little car. Also time to find more friends without legs.
A lot of good points! Inbetweeeners jokes, are definitely something anyone with a yellow cento have to live with. T.B.H your sometimes a lot better embracing it, yelling bus wankers out of the window at bus stops is a superpower you seem to gain. Have an Sei Abarth myself and have been driving one pretty much consistently for the last 3 years. It was only the later on UK seicentos (from about 2002) which actually came with parcel shelf speakers, If you can find an breaker thats an earlier model. you can solve the parcel shelf speaker issue quite easilly. Might I reccomend for a future mod an 40mm enlarged throttle body, you can get them for MPIs such as yours. they can be acquired for about £50 and I maintain for the effort required to fit it, It is the best mod possible for a Cento as it really does Iron out the dreaded 3krpm flat spot in the engine. And helps defeat the seicentos greatest enemy a gentle incline.... It also will help give you the hunger to go down the 866 cam route.

I love your Seicento Sporting and the color as well! Consider it more of a 2 seater or 2+2. We know it's extremely compact, so there's a give and take.
Fucking awesome car. Looks unique inside and out, fun to drive and is quirky being Italian. I'm leaning to drive in the basic S model but I'm injecting some Italian flare into it with exterior and interior changes and some Mechanical bits. Nice video man 👍
As a first car they're great. Extremely fun to drive, they don't have so many BHP but it weighs as much as a gnat's dick. In 2nd gear to slightly over town speed limits is a joy. The thing about legroom is especially true, no-one can sit behind me unless they're a gymnast as I'm 6'1, but I think that's probably why I don't get anyone mocking it as well, they don't want to mess with a big guy stepping out of a small car.
Agreed, there are not too many cars you thrash to their limits around corners and not expect to lose your license. However, one modification I have made for the (me) taller driver is to fix a wooden block under where your right foot rests on the accelerator. It makes it a lot easier to avoid foot fatigue on a long journey. Because I can imagine a lot of taller Seicento drivers have to 'hover' their foot over the accelerator.
Here same came car 200.000 km. Stil going strong.. Its really funny to drive.... Used to drive saab..... Yeaaah. Here its gets how it is driving a car..... Cheap and fun.... Kinda fell in love.
I own a Rosso Red 03 Seicento Sporting myself and I agree that it's a fun car, especially around the B-roads but what I hate most about it is the accelerator pedal placement.
Ive got a seicento sx its a 1.1 and i love it ,such a good car ,i cant stop smiling everytime im driving it and most people in the flash cars are shocked when i overtake them lol
I've been on roads in ancient cities in which the roads are wide enough that you could touch the buildings on both sides with your hands. That's where the Seicento comes in.
As an ex cento owner I miss both of my cars, I did a 16v conversion on my cinq, and had a standard mpi sporting. both of them were equally fun to drive
John Wright you'd have trouble fitting 5 people in with the limited legroom and tight space. And it's not even good for 4 people even if the seats aren't pushed right back. This car is best for a couple, and is more of a practical proposition when used with the rear seats permanently folded up and the car is used purely as a small load holdall and a shopping car.
I love my Seicento and it's just like you describe it fun, fun, fun...!!! Just one question, how in the world you get 50 per gallon????? I just can't put it under 7 litres per 100 kilometers no matter what I try 😭😭😭😭😭😭 it's 20-30% more than you get. Please give me your secret 😁 Maybe I can get it on the open road. Thanks 👍
I was looking at a Ferrari the other week and it had the same "in the centre" electric window switches. I don't much like the arrangement either but dare we disagree with Enzo?
Too true. I used to know a guy who ran a Ferrari dealership (among others) and he said that you always have to remember that a Ferrari is still an Italian car. It looks great, it sounds great and it goes like stink. But, trim comes loose, switches and handles might come off in your hand, and rattles can take forever to find and fix. Also, in central London, a manual gearbox can make you look like a numpty. Even with experience it's apparently all too easy to end up kangerooing down the street in stop start traffic.
Sorry no power my sporting can do 110mph easily (took it to a track to have fun). plus he missed off the hand brake is shit and the wing mirror are tiny but it makes up for its faults in personality.
