Buying a favorite character is so on point. I bought Rex knowing that even if I wasn’t going to get into 1/6th collecting collecting I would still be happy with him by himself. It’s definitely opened up my style of of collecting and now I have a decent list of Hot Toys figures to get. Thankfully most of them aren’t due out for some time so I can save up a bit.
There is no reason or purpose for Jedha to make this video but to help collectors. A massive reason I support Jedha and everyone here is because of the focus on community. Great Great video and all fantastic advise. You can ask us anything also, we are a huge part of the Jedha Patrol.

Don't let others make your decisions for you! Just because certain people don't like a particular figure, doesn't mean that you won't like it. Buy what YOU LIKE! Video reviews will be the most important tool in your box.

I've completed the whole NECA Prometheus collection thanks to the whole general collecting advice I've gotten from people like yourself. I know this is unrelated to the Hot Toys or sideshow but the info in this channel can be taken and applied elsewhere, and that's why I keep watching and coming back, I've also recently started picking up 1/6 scale figures as well. So far I've only gotten 3 hot toys figs, the DX18 Darth Maul, Qui Gon Jinn and The mandalodian and the child deluxe. Really happy with those and I've got more on the way 👍thank you for all the help and keep making more videos.

Great video! Wish I had this information before starting my collection 3 years ago. I still remember getting my first Hot Toys 1/6 scale. It was Deadpool and I was hooked. Although 95% of my collection is Marvel, I dabble in DC and Game of Thrones. Over 150 now and moved to buying some 1:1 busts from Queen Studios. So happy to be a member of this community. Toys Wonderland is another great option for collectors. They have great accessories for Hot Toys and often I get new releases from there before Sideshow receives them.

Limtoys Gunslinger (Arthur Morgan) is gonna be my first 1/6 scale since I like taking pics in the woods by streams etc and rdr2 is still one of my all time favorite games
Totally agree you should get your first figure in hand. I would even try and find one from a Hobby or Comic shop so you can have it in hand before buying.

I bought her cause she’s my favorite but I had no idea I would now have 30 in hand and 8 on order

I buy for the most part any character or theme I like
I don’t just stick to one genre of theme
I have marvel Star Wars dc and anime but it’s mainly marvel but Star Wars is now growing

I agree with everything you said in this video Ryan. I ordered the OG Mando Hot Toys figure; it was an in stock item. Honestly I couldn't put down a deposit and wait one year for a figure. That is exactly why I went with OG Mando because it was in stock, and currently it is en route to me; should be here Thursday (1/147/21). One of my collecting resolution was to acquire my first Hot Toys figure in 2021. Oh yeah I paid right out for it, not payment plans...that would drive me nuts too.

I live in high dust count, high temperature, dry air environment, and i am a crazy poser (pose my figures like crazy, change like 1/2 weeks), should i even buy a Hot toys, especially Spiderman ?

I’m buying the Mandalorian line, not all of them but got the OG mando, death trooper, incinerator trooper, Gideon,death watch,heavy mando and the delux fett. Got the clones wars Asoka 501st and Cody and Rex. All done for now, next year if it’s still available I might buy the IG-11

Apologies if you have answered this before or it’s within the video. How do you keep your hot toys dust free (when not behind glass) and what do you use to clean them? I used to keep mine in detolfs when I collected years ago, starting up again now but no space for detolfs as I have bookshelves instead. Love your vids and looking forward to content in the coming weeks.
honestly...I never bother with dust. But my filtration system in my home is pretty solid
for my first hottoys, i want a boba fett mandalorian version. maybe end of summer reveal maybe. and also a season 2 mando, but i doubt they would rerelease mando for a while
If your an Australian Collector like me, the 2 places i go to for these is either Popcultcha AU or Sideshow Collectables (be sure to go to AU website, even tho its just the US site it displays everything in AU$) there could be other places, but those 2 have always been the best for me. Feel free to reply with other sources!

I just pre ordered my first hot toys and I’m most definitely for the wait. I was just wondering if there’s anything else I should be worried about? It was about $375 from Sideshow. I’ll have to wait a year but im up to wait due to what this character means to me. Anything else I should know about?

I have started to collect Star Wars/marvel/DC at the moment got obi wan, yoda, Dooku, darth maul, dark side anakin,mark 7 iron man and JL superman. I really like hot toys but they are expensive.I really like the marvel and Star Wars franchise not sure which I should stick with collect further...?
i wont comment about marvel
but if you're into star wars and have limited budget, I suggest that you prioritize characters that appears in the movies, with an exception of Ahsoka Tano
if you're following the side stories like Mandalorian, it will kill your wallet instantly
and for each character you should choose the version you like the most, because a character could be issued in many versions, like Luke, Anakin, Leia, Vader etc
but then again, it's your money and your decision
ps: make sure of which type of collector you are
whether you just like to collect them, put them on the shelf, staring at them, or you like to actually play with them, making poses, make them interact to each other, like me
The very first Hot Toy collectibles I ever bought are Michael Keaton’s Batman and Jack Nicholson’s The Joker that was 2018. 3 years later I have 14 of the marvel ones lol I am on a mission to collect every MCU hot toys. Thanks for this tips recently bought tobey maguire and andrew garfield’s spiderman although the box were a bit damaged some have slight tear in it due to being very old stocks but the models were in good condition and complete kinda smells brand new to be honest lol.

I was really ready to buy my first 2 hot toys figures! after looking at videos and pics in ig. but the ones I ended up liking are pre orders only and won’t come out until December 2021 or 2022!!!!! lol I’m really impatient, so I guess I’m moving on on to other things. This phase of mine will pass on lol 😂
Yeah I made the mistake with sideshow buying the child and realized it when I got it. Lucky sold it and got my money back
