- Here are my first impressions of my friend's 2002 SN95 Mustang GT, also called the 'New Edge' Mustang GT. The New Edge Mustangs are part of the 4th generation of Mustangs that were made from 1999 -2004, and are often admired for the 'cutting edge' styling and the 4.6L N/A V8 2-Valve engine (1/3 other Valve options). This particular Mustang is fitted with aftermarket exhaust parts and racing springs. All in all, it was a positive experience, even as someone with a 400 + HP Camaro SS! I told myself that I would get a new edge GT after I finish army basic training and my first contract. I always liked the new edge since my uncle had an 03 v6.
did you get it
Seriously an underrated car, something I forgot to mention is how reliable the 4.6 2v is. Only thing that people have issues with are timing guides and spark plugs shooting out of the threads. loved the vid man 💪
Thanks for the opportunity bro! Really cool to have finally gotten behind the wheel of one of these 2v's.
The spark plug thing is human error (tightening too much or not enough) the tensioner guides is human error (lack of maintenance)
just got a ‘99 gt 5 speed with 70k miles that’s completely stock for $8k. tons of fun
It’s a great car for what it is and the time it was made. Plenty of fun for the price
Been looking at these sn95 for some time now. this video definitely motivated to pull the trigger as a project car.
_Wish I could find a clean one without rebuilt titles or extra mess done to it also wish FB marketplace sellers would actually respond... 😂😂_
Pulled my 99GT out of a guts yard for $700. New crate 4.6 and a little work now she's a show stopper!!!
Now that's a dream! 😲
Good to know there's a market when i sell my 04 gt.
For sure, millennials are wanting their highschool dream cars. I'm looking now.
Looking at a stage 2 roush this Friday. Just to watch this video with the same motor I’m super psyched
99 gt was my first mustang and Sparked that new egde love for me. (93 Foxbody coupe is the dream car)
Take all the specs out of the equation, the sound is just too good! I miss both of mine so much.
im early!!!!!
very nice
Nice new edges are cool
I think so too!
The SN95 and New Edge mustangs are what the foxbody 5.0 mustangs used to be before those cars started getting hard to find in good shape for good prices.
I get a lot of SMILES PER HOUR driving 02 GT
These must be going up in value. I have a S550 GT and I want a new edge a GT to go with it but can’t find a decent one reasonably priced
Keep an eye out on marketplace. I was looking for one for almost a full year until I found one I really liked. Good deals are out there, I'm guessing in the next 5 years these cars are going to be harder to find in nice condition so snag one up now!!
@@cartastrophe true true. Especially all decent ones I find now are around 12-15k I can only imagine what they’ll be going for in a few years
Wow you ain't too far from me I'm in Winter Haven Florida
I swear every 2v owner I know is named Carter lmao
is this blue2vgt?? lmao
@@cartastrophe uhhhhhh no 😁
I have a 2001 Mustang GT and my friend had a 93 Fox Body and that thing sucked ! None PI heads and it really didnt impress me at all. I always loved my New Edge better than the Fox... He sold it last year ang got himself the newer generation 2017 Mustang GT with the Coyote engine... That thing is sick !
The classic adjusting the seat for the unknowing driver 😂😂
2v are slow, but they are the best sounding engine Ford has put out
I want a new edge car for my 16th birthday. I'm trying to convince my dad it'll be good. I need help.
Pretty sure sn 95 and new edge are different body styles
