This video is based on the 3rd day of my Mauritius Trip. I visited Aapravasi Ghat, the place where the Indians landed in Mauritius during the early 1800s. In this video, you will come to know about the condition of those Indians who came to Mauritius as labourers or indentured labourers. After Apravasi ghat or Immigration depot we visited the Central Market in Port Louis. I had a few conversations with the 'Indian' community. Watch this to know the price of mobile sim in Mauritius, Price of the Local street food in Mauritius, etc. In this video you will also see Caudan waterfront, Blue Penny Museum, Adelaide fort, Escale Creole restaurant and Hotel Sofitel Mauritius L'Impérial Resort & Spa, Coastal Road, Flic en Flac, Mauritius.

Dearest Indian born friends, I as a Mauritian are in total love with India. You are lucky because all the dhaam, Kailash, Badrinath...Prayaag, Vrindavan, Puri, Rameshwaram, Udupi, Kaveri, Sri Rangam, the list is endless....there is a lot to learn in your own country. Swach Bhaarat is the moto. The essence of life is hidden behind all these so called daily problems due to overpopulation. Lekin aap log bahut lucky ho jo ki aap ke janam Bharat mein hua hein. Dher sara pyaar aap sabhi logon ko.

Hi Am Mauritian and so glad an Indian person has done such a sweet video. I sometimes feel that Indians don't realise that our ancestors were Indians too and moved over here bringing their culture which has been transmitted to us who continue upholding it. Much is said about British, American, Canadian born Indian origined persons but don' t forget us who contributed to build a whole independent country!!! My parents are Mauritian (I'm British born so I identify as British). The ancestors of the Mauritian people who came from India initially settled as labourers on five-year contracts, after which they could return to India...but only if they could afford it, or else remain in Mauritius and receive government land (EDIT: the government would foot the bill for their return if they served another five years, but after ten years away from India I suppose the desire to return had already diminished for most anyway). That's what a lot of them chose to do as they had no certain futures returning to India, especially as most of them were escaping economic crises when they chose to leave initially. Saying that, some DID return. Later, trader Indians came over to establish businesses in Mauritius and nearby Reunion and South Africa (and parts of East Africa), as their trades would appeal to the already-established settlements there

@dayanand bahadoor Why? There are enough hindu boys n girls in Mauritius. Why need matchmaking with bihar boys n girls. Anyways most of our children end up in love marriages. They will never agree with such arrangements. A quarter of our children are abroad in western countries studying or working and marry according to their free will.
