Just completed a 12 team SF 0.5 PPR dynasty startup today and I’m a renowned RB fader. Didn’t grab my first RB until round 11. Monty at 11.02 and Ekeler at 12.11. The RB value after round 10 is pure money imo. I don’t see a reason to pay up for those expensive guys when you can find production so far down the board.
I'm low on RB in all my builds, and always go heavy WR. Because of this, this RB topic is very valuable to get right, as you can get the buy low RBs, and dominate with the strong WR core. Last season, I got Kyren Williams off the waivers, then in a trade. I guess early on people weren't sold on Kyren, so I sent Jerome Ford + Joshua Kelley for Kyren Williams, and now I feel bad lol. This year I like Tyjae Spears, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Chase Brown as RBs that will gain in value next season, and are good buys currently.
Very helpful video! My RB situation is rough right now (Mostert/Monty) so debating whether I should wait, trade for, or look to the draft (Pick 2.04 is my earliest)?

Do you think that Etienne could improve or keep close to his RB 3 finish this next year? I already have Saquon, Breece, Najee, and Zamir White. I’m thinking that I could capitalize on that RB 3 finish to get say a good receiver or should I wait until in season?

Just traded ETN straight up for Smith-Njigba. Dynasty full PPR, one QB and already have Pacheco/ R White in my backfield. I hold the 1.12 so I'm hoping I can snag Brooks or Allen (if I'm lucky). I won the championship last year and wanted to get a little younger since ETN is about to be 26 and is in a contract year. Pairing Njigba with Jettas, Pickens and DJ Moore.
12 man league btw. Had a really good startup draft!

I’m trying to move off Walker for a 1st or a tier down for sure now. Like Nate said, highly valued name helps out.
I'm in a 10 Team, SF start 8. I have:
QBs - Purdy, Mayfield, Cousins and Geno.
RBs - Rachaad White, Kyren Williams, Mostert and Montgomery.
WRs - Lamb, Collins, Diggs, Thielen and Watson
TEs - Njoku and Dulcich.
No 1st round picks until 2026. 24 and 25 2nd some 3rds and 4ths this year and next.
Not sure what moves I should be trying to make, whether I try to tier down from White and Williams for some more WRs, whether I try to move Lamb for Kyler Murray and a WR or 1st round picks.
I'd like to compete and try to win this year

Last off-season, didn't we all anticipate this year being a down year? Just seems like Sept '24 was always the anticipated RB1 re-launch date. And to me, he showed great burst and eagerness for contact by mid season.
I'll admit I'm biased on this one as an owner myself 😂
Definitely more the upcoming contract situation for me, he could be great this year but the uncertainty will halt his value from continuing to rise and god forbid we have a contract standoff or anything like that to hurt his chances of helping you beyond this season

Would you trade the rookie 1.10 for Kenneth Walker? Core is: Purdy, Bryce young, etn, Henry, cd, aiyuk, Kincaid, Garrett Wilson, Addison, and tank Dell SF TEP. Or should I try and buy the 1.10 for another qb/rb or rotation flex spot?
I’d shoot for someone like James Cook and I think you can get a little kick back on top, maybe even a future 2nd
If give etienne for a late first I think I’d be thrilled to get a player similar production as etienne. I’m Hoping the really add to their oline this off-season

I would try and get more than Chase. In a SF, Hurts is worth more than Chase
Just traded ETN for Achane and the 24 1.14
I sold Achane and Flowers for Williams, 1.06 and 3.06. I was the 2023 champ and had no high picks also didn't have my 1st as I sold early on in the season for London. Should I have done that? I still have Swift, Kyren Williams and Stevenson as my main backs and Chase Brown as a sleeper.
Getting London was good bc you’re not getting a player at 1.12 that has higher upside than London

I don’t think you move off Monty unless you get a late first/early 2nd - i don’t see him netting that this offseason.
I don’t mind being a year late moving off him if I’m maybe even a fringe playoff team

Feel like I’m supposed to trade achane to help elsewhere but don’t want to leave myself with only two in case of an injury.
I don’t feel like you have to, but if you think about it you have a hole either way
Either from not having a 3rd RB
Or from not moving that RB to help elsewhere
Comes down to cross position value for me, and honestly I think you could look to move achane for JSN + a 24 2nd(maybe you send a 3rd back) and possibly snag an RB with that pick anyway. As an example

I’d look to move Kamara but you won’t get good value til the season. At which point it probably doesn’t hurt to hold onto him

Moved Achane 1.07 and a 2025 mid-late second for Puka an early mid 2025 first and a 2025 3rd

It feels like the majority of dynasty leagues have fully turned on the RB position at this point.
I would rather use 2nds, 3rds for dart throws at RB and keep the 1st round capital for positions with more longevity.

A constructive response would be something like: “I don’t think two seconds would get it done for Rachaad white, but I think _____ would!”
As noted it would likely take a first, and I tend to agree, but you never know how someone is going to value a player or the picks they’re getting in return. Especially if they’re two higher 2nds in this deep WR class 🤷🏻♂️ (RBs vs WRs and all that)
