Honestly what were we expecting out of JSN’s rookie season? He was drafted to a run first team with a bad QB and 2 high end established franchise WRs ahead of him in the depth chart, to a team who didn’t utilize the slot very much at all either. If you’re dropping him this low in rankings I think it’s because you had unrealistic expectations year 1. Imo his value should be about even to where it was last year. In the dynasty WR 15-20 range
If his situation changed I’d agree but it didn’t get any better other then the other receivers getting older

(Love the content) 12man 2flx ppr dynasty league, Starters are Justin Herbert, Breece hall, Travis etienne, stefon diggs, Aj brown, mark andrews, Keenan Allen, Chris olave. Bench is Kyler Murray, rhamondre stevenson, marquis brown, terry mclaurin, zay flowers, Romeo doubs, dalton shultz. I won the championship/super bowl last year. Should I keep the same team this year or should I make any changes. Any suggestions? I
This is a "win now" team... I'd stay the course and on the off chance you're somehow out of the playoff picture at the deadline, move the likes of Allen, Diggs, Rhamondre (if he is any good this year), and Scary Terry for picks. Personally, I have zero faith in Hollywood doing anything as the WR3 on a 1-year rental in an offense that throws to 17 different players a game, I'd take any 2nd round pick for him and run as of today. And if you can get a 2nd for Doubs I'd take it - Reed and Wicks are both better long term and again an offense that spreads the ball around a ton plus just added a solid RB
What do we consider realistic value to trade the WR’s in tier D for?
I think JSN is being slept on. This man started the season with a broken hand and had 2 studs in front of him. I expect a breakout this year!

Rb room is CMC Saquon Rachaad and Mixon. Should I roll with the older guys and try and flip Rachaad for a young wideout? 12 team SF start 8. Contending.
I traded Rachaad for Addison myself, he was my RB4 so I had to move him.
How do you guys handle free agency from the draft-week1? My league just finished our first season and the free agency is open to pick up people without faab & are struggling to find a fair way to do a free agency period before week 1
Set an offseason FAAB budget for each team until the start of the season. Have waivers run just like if you were in season.

Would you trade away Etienne, 1.02 and 1.04 for Hall and Amon-Ra? My other WRs are Lamb, Puka, Olave, D Smith and 1.01 (MHJ). RBs are Bijan, Etienne, R White, Z White and Spears

I tried desperately to get 1.01. 1qb PPR. I knew I’d have to grossly overpay for 1.02, belonging to a giants fan. But receiver is my biggest weakness. I offered 1.05, 1.11, 2.02, 25 1st, Gabe Davis and JK (he had tried to low ball for both earlier) for 1.01. Declined. But I still think I made out pretty well. My receivers now: Ridley, McLaurin, Meyers, Downs, Reed, Davis, Burks, Worthy, McConkey, Coleman. Still looking for that super stud. But with this and my 3 first next year, I have hope. Your rankings give me a little more.

I know you despise him but DK was WR 21 last year, 16 year before, 14 year before that then WR 7 his 2nd year in the league. His rookie year he was WR 34. All these stats on sleeper full point ppr. 🤷 more of a solid WR 2 unless I’m missing something

Ceedee Lamb, MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Rice, BTJ, Burton, QJ + some bench fodder.

I actually agree with your jsn take. If I can buy low on him I’d be willing to take the risk but not taking him over any of the guys you listed. Brian Thomas, Ladd, and worthy all also got the draft capital and have better landing spots than jsn imo. Truth is jsn had a rookie szn that does not favour him being dynasty relevant long term

the entire Seahawks offense was shit, Geno wasn't good, their OC sucked and DK, Lockett, and JSN were all limited bc of how the offense was...JSN barely saw the field with that OC and now they have a new OC coming in with a new coach as well. I say give it this season to see what's gonna happen with the adjustments, but JSN had some bright spots last year skill-wise and showed some production here and there. now in a better spot maybe he gets more field time.

Since getting paired with his college QB, am I crazy to think Franklin could be the WR1 in Denver within 2 years? I know, we didn't love him as a prospect etc, but that familiarity should count for sth right?
We loved him as a prospect, his draft capital is what really dropped him
Well he was the second pick of the fourth round, meaning Denver spent the night analyzing and came to the conclusion that trading up for Franklin was the best thing for them to do. That gives him pretty much 3rd round draft capital on top of the fact he is in a perfect situation.
As a Hawks fan I'm going to definitely be a lot more bullish and biased on JSN and DK than others but I think theres a real chance that they show big improvements in their fantasy ppg this season. Theres a lot of things that need to go right of course like the Oline needs to stay healthy, will the new coaching staff be able to use the players more effectively, and Geno needs to be more consistent &/or Howell stepping up if it's not Geno. But when you look at what Grubb was doing at UW and the fact that they brought in Howell (young qb who was the passing attempts leader last year) to back up Geno it seems like they really want to establish a dominant passing game. Pair that with the fact that Geno was bad under pressure so a healthier and improved Oline will give him the time he needs to make the throws as well as time to give DK and JSN a chance to get open which they can and will. I definitely have a biased pov but I think DK and JSN could/should be talked about in the mid/late D tier or top of E tier at the very least rn and wouldn't be shocked if one of them is in the C tier by mid season.
I may have traded Ceedee for Garrett Wilson before the season started last year (I was in on the hype)...guess who went off against me in the playoffs last year?

@Dynastyflock first off, appreciate your hard work and understand your rankings are subjective, Mason! You’ll never have consensus agreement on them.
BUT, objectively speaking, you are wrong about DK. In this video you mentioned that he’s averaged a WR 26 finish for 3 years. That is OBJECTIVELY incorrect…
Across his 5 seasons, his average finish = WR 18. And if you remove his rookie year, it’s WR 14. Hell- his worst finish in the past 4 years was last year and that was WR 21.
When Mason mentions a player's ranking in terms of production without indicating the metric it's usually Fantasy Points Per Game. Which even then it's like WR24 over the last few years but it's a distinction without a difference from WR26 and the broad 'high end WR3' assessment given.
I agree with another comment floating around that ranking DK behind all of the late 1st/early 2nd WRs is nuts. I wouldn't trade DK for the 1.10 straight in a 12 team SF PPR rookie draft.
I can understand an argument that perhaps DK is an established solid WR while all of the mystery box WRs have mostly uncapped upside until we see how they perform, and that's what makes them a 'better' dynasty asset. DK seems to be in the same valuation hell DJ Moore was for a few years until he was put in a better situation which ironically was with Justin Fields.

All rookies should be automatic C tier or D tier. This is why it’s so hard to make trades for players who are likely to fall out of the league more than established players.

Reed AND Pickens in the F-tier?!? Reed went for 800yds and 10tds in his rookie season, 100yds short of Addison&London despite playing one less game, and Pickens was at nearly 1200yds. no love for these monster sophomores.

Kinda depends on your league format/ how many starters. But generally my rule is any pick after 2 years doesn’t exist, so I would trade tee addison and a 27 1st for lamb. Particularly if contending

Dk has had way better season than tee Higgins dk is being under used under a run heavy offense
To be fair Ladd had to split targets with two NFL caliber targets in Adonai and Bowers. A very mid Qb in Georgia on a run first offense. Add in the injuries giving him “lower production” numbers than most of the prospects ahead of him.

@@Dynastyflock I'd put him right behind DJ Moore. If he stays healthy, he has a skill set that should age pretty well. Fantasy Pros composite has him at 36, so I guess this isn't as crazy as I initially thought, but I'll take 2-3 more seasons of an elite receiver like Kupp over 5-6 seasons of a middling guy that always finishes outside the top 25 WRs. I know Puka eats into his production (I have both), but weekly floor is still so high.
Scenario; you’re on the clock and looking at Keon Coleman. You receive a trade offer..DK Metcalf for the pick. I’m hitting accept 100% of the time, rebuild or contender.
Pickens is a tier or 2 too low. He’s produced and currently has no target competition and an upgrade at QB.
Putting him behind JSN is a big reach. Can’t see many people making that trade without adding additional value to the JSN side.

Dynasty rankings are very different than redraft. Age, situation, and draft capital are keeping him out. I traded D Adams in my dynasty league 3 seasons ago aquiring Lamb and a 2nd.
