    I went back down to Dynomotive in Bayswater victoria to sort out some extra power for the Y62 patrol.
    So we decided to put a new UNI X on the car which made a massive differance
    While we were at it, i wanted to make the patrol sound like the proper V8 it is so we added the New Bi mogul Exhaust from Dynomotive which both helped with sound and getting that hot air away from the motor.
    I hope you guys find this as fun to watch as it was fun to film.

    nice!! - ive still got my 200 with G500 turbos etc and goes well, but have just got a play car TB48 Patrol chopped into a ute - i do like a big petrol !!

      They’ve since changed the muffler setup so it since a fair bit higher.

      @Australian 4x4 Adventures haha its most likely going to now be the rear bar left side corner now then 😅 but looks good and now you need to vs the god father dash again in a battle. I have sold my 62 as was getting over the interior and no real fix to make it modern that works with no bugs so i have now got a next gen raptor hahah

    Very informative. A shame you didnt get the exhaust only dyno run....
    Either way, 60kw gain is outstanding. Ive watched all of the dynomotive YT videos on Y62s also. This was really well presented and i love your enthusiasm. Good work upgrading from a 200, i did exactly the same. So far only have the exhaust (with headers) but no tune.

      Dynomotive said they’ve done it before and the exhaust gave the car about 6-7kw more by itself.
      The rest is all in the tune.

    Harrop blower kit please! Can you do a run down on the exhaust. Ie show it, sizes of pipes etc. Did you fit extractors?

    Tail pipe hanging really low, exhaust system yes BUT extractors as well ?

      Tail pipe sits flush with the rear bar so it’s sits high enough.

    Steve, enjoyed the ep, especially cause we are looking at a Y62 in the near future, but I do have an serious old mans question for ya. as much as all these modfs are nice to have. How do they all affect the cars Warrenty? Will the standard Nissan warrenty still be in force?
    Looking forward to more and also real world driving details.

      Your warranty is gone and don’t believe other wise . Don’t believe anyone that is selling you something they have a vested interest. Do your own research Nissan will wipe you instantly. I know people that have been rejected respray jobs due to bigger tyres . If all things don’t effect warranty ? Why do people put them back to stock form for servicing and warranty claims . Steve is seriously mislead if he thinks Nissan or any chip company will support him if it turns to shit. 35s will void your warranty. The list goes on. Do it at your own demise

      Warranty is 100% gone now on anything to do with the driveline engine, knowing first hand how crap Nissan warranty is I hope Steve has no issues moving forward.

      I spoke with my Nissan dealer ( Waverly Nissan ) before doing any mods.
      They told me they are fine with having Unichip installed and it doesn’t effect anything on their end.
      Having said that it does become a grey area if something does go wrong with the engine / gearbox.
      Unichip claim to warrant that stuff themself if something was to go wrong. But I’ve never had to use that service in either the 200 or y62.
      As far as the rest of the peanut galley that’s commented so far, I’d suggest they are upset with their particular dealer who have knocked back claims on them.
      I suggest making sure your dealer is fine with mods and even try to get that in writing if possible.

      About 2lt more per 100 then my 200. But I’m also running 35s where the 200 only ran 33s.

    Seems good, but there is no way there is 60kw hidden away in a tune with an n/a v8.
    These inflated dyno numbers need to be put under control

      Love your vids man, so I don't want to come across as a rude fucker.
      But, the exhaust won't add any power, you're lucky to get 3-5kw
      The tune might net you 15kw
      There just isn't anything hidden away, except some ignition timing massaging and fuel trim cleaning.
      Is there a difference, yeah, but it's not 60kw
      Don't let them suck you into all the bullshit

    Look i'm into cars ive helped build and run an 8 sec drag car. There's no way you convince me your gaining 64kw or a 39% power increase on a stock NA motor with just an exhaust. By that math your 298kw motor just made 413kw NA with just and exhaust and tune.

      298kw is what Nissan quote at the crank......have another look at the video.......160 odd at start, then 220 odd after......60kw gain....simples.....

    You tuning blokes that say every single motor needs it own tune are not completely accurate. It’s a marketing ploy to get people through the door. Your talking 5-7 horsepower difference between one engine to the next. Unless your trying to win a tuning comp it’s simply not true that every motor needs its own tune.
    Do you think Nissan puts a different tune in every motor they make? NO end of story.
    It the tuning is done on a couple of engines to collect data to make tunes they they can be flashed in multiple cars.

      Yep you are 100% correct.
      There are plenty of place ( and dynomotive do it too ) that just sell a full plug and play unit with generic tune in it.
      But doing a custom tune is still a better tune then a generic one so I’m also correct.

    So much information that you mention. But things you left out as usual. What did you PAY for it ? or I assume another sponsored product ? Plus you should be honest and let you viewers know that any warranty you once had has now gone and that's transmission and motor to say the least. Maybe don't leave things out but hey its you tube I couldn't expect anyone to be honest its all about the views and the money (sponsors) that you get free stuff and plug in return. Its a shame you didn't start out like this

      Yes I got it for free. Never tried to hide that fact. I thought that everyone knew I have been sponsored by Unichip for years and they support my channel for the free content you just watched.
      If you’ve watched any of my reviews before you’d know full well I don’t care if it’s free or not, it doesn’t change what I think and say.
      I’ve got plenty of company’s that won’t work with me because of my honesty towards products ( free or not ).
      I’m sorry you feel I was trying to trick you but it’s definitely not the case.

But you should also add about your warranty is gone and you know that you just don’t mention any negatives to the chip . Honesty goes both ways not just all the good points . You expect people to spend there hard earned money on your sponsors than in return tell them all the good and bad points . No one on you tube is honest anymore it’s all business this crap doing what I love is rubbish it’s a business not a passion

      Okay okay. A few points.
      Clearly you’ve got a bit of a chip on your shoulder about this subject.
      1st. Warranty with Nissan is NOT gone once you fit a Unichip. I asked this directly to Nissan Australia. Obviously the caveat with that is, if it’s directly caused by the Unichip that’s a different story. Eg if it’s proven you’ve done a bore due to too much fuel that’s on Unichip. Who also offer a drive train warranty with their product.
      Yes I understand the position shit fight that could turn into. But technically that’s the way it should work.
      2. Mentioning good vs bad points. What are the bad points? You seem to think there are some. More power, better fuel ( which we will touch on soon ) and lean the motor out so it’s not so rich from factory. But please do tell me what the bad points may be?
      3. Fuel. You’re basically calling me a liar.
      I record all of my fuel in an app with the data stored forever.
      So I have record of the fuel usage pre tune and post tune and those are the figures I got. There’s no fudging of numbers at all. It’s all in black and white.
      I done the exact same thing with my 200 series. I have 5 years of fuel records on hand if I need them.
      CZcams is very much a real place and lots of ppl are 100% honest on it. Just because you choose not to believe them doesn’t make it a lie.

      Super charger will save fuel . If a stock y62 doesn’t have another power stock you got the wrong car but hey a stock car won’t get Views now will
      It ??? And you know that . I challenge you to show me in writing where Nissan or the chip company will honour your warranty for engine and transmission replacement or repair ?       But since adding a heap of weight and bigger tyres to the car plus towing a 2.8t caravan. It needed some extra pep in its step.
