One of the better explainer videos out there
This is the only video to explain how my new water softener cycles water from only one tube. Was so confused if the overflow elbow needed a 2nd tube.

Expect your water heater if it’s a tank to leak from this salt softener. They shorten the life span by destroying the anode rod in a water heater.
If you just look at these ,they dont make much sense . this is what I thought must happen but its good to know now. CZcams Academy
What is the max input TDS can this unit deal's with
Most can handle up to 100 grains hardness - which would be 1710 TDS for just the hardness.
How could brine be driven to the system? What is the driven force
There is a veturri that passing water causes a vacuum and sucks it in
Good question. Is there a separate pump? Or is it using built up suction or some sort
The valve changes the direction of the incoming water in the valve. While in brine draw, it creates a suction pulling the brine into the system.
I still don’t understand 😂
I was over thinking it for 2 days of trying to install one, too. Just follow the exact instructions and watch manufacturers install video.
