According to NBC News, a West Virginia couple, Jean Whitefeather, 62, and Donald Lantz, 63, are facing severe charges including human trafficking, child neglect, and forced labor after allegedly adopting Black children with the intent of exploiting them for labor and subjecting them to inhumane living conditions. The details aren't totally clear, but according to the indictment, they adopted 5 kids and 3 of them were Black. The Black kids were used as slaves. There's no mention of the race or races of the other children.
