NIO stock is a poor choice. It never can make a hold above $16 because people always sell sell sell. The promoters of NIO stock remind me of people who bought bitcoin early on and keep pushing others to buy into it so they can earn more. If NIO can hold at 15 for a week it would be a miracle. hahahahaha!

Hi Maria, this is always such a tough one to answer , especially for a new company with its training wheels still on. If I knew, I’d tell you! What I will say is if they continue to rapidly grow their brand, their deliveries, their reach and maintain their liquidity, the sky is the limit. However, it’s still a speculative play because they don’t have long term, proven success. Sorry I couldn’t give you a very clear cut answer
I understand that August order will be delivered sometime in September, while September order next year. Remember that Chinese want their purchases to come in before the Chinese Lunar New Year at the beginning of 2021. If I am right the fourth quarter and the following quarter should be very positive.

People look at the darn stock moving after hours and seems unstoppable! expect it to be at $30 tomorrow by 10 am
I wish. Expect it to go up 1-2$ then drop as people sell for profits. Just hold for a year and it’ll be 40+$ a share
This is true, but that doesn’t factor in that every day is up and down because at the moment they’re so volatile. 3-5 years from now is what matters in my opinion. The opportunity to get in on the ground floor is definitely now though!

I'm long on Nio and am a believer in the company. However, my biggest concern is the authenticity of the company's books. How do we know that Nio might be selling an image that isn't accurate and we have a Luckin Coffee situation on our hands? Is this just part of the risk of investing in a Chinese Company that isn't open to outside auditors? Will the Chinese government ensure that things are accurate?

It’s an interesting one Scott. There is always a bit of risk but I feel that the governments position in Nio should keep them on track because they have criteria. Check out my first bio analysis video (the link is in the description) it shows what Nio must do for the government in Hefei. Also, it’s impossible to know these things unless audited, and it is hard for us to assume their is foul play. If that’s something that concerns you, then tread carefully and maybe keep a small position
You do understand American companies can be a fraud too right? How about Enron or Theranos just to name a couple.
@@YoungTang not to mention European ones. Look at Wirecard. Anyone can be fraud but I can guarantee it's a lot harder to fake car sales than coffee sales. NIO management wouldn't be stupid enough to commit fraud right after Wirecard and Luckin got caught. Auditing levels are at an all time high especially for international companies.
@@YoungTang Of course they can be. I'm not pretending all American companies are saints and the model of transparency/honesty. However when I bring that point up, people always reply with a bunch of "whataboutisms" and mention Enron/Theranos. I think the more transparency and oversight, the better. Like I said, I'm long NIO and plan to add but that's my biggest concern.
I think this situation is incomparable. I believe NIO is a solid long-term investment because the Chinese are embracing EVs faster than most countries in the world. The Chinese government won’t let NIO fail. NIO has experienced commendable growth rates since its founding. NIO survived insolvency once (Tesla almost went bankrupt early on as well) so it’s management know how to keep the company afloat. EVs are the future and China understands there importance. NIO will grow into a great company 5-10 years from now, second only to Tesla.

Nio's Q3 will set the tone for future profitibilty and establish solid investors that seek long term and not just short term.
I hope you’re right Andres. It is hard to know how long the short term investors will have influence, but I think that showing genuine profitability will give investors a real reason to see the light at the end of the long tunnel for nio

Nio is like a V12 engine on a cold day.....coughs & splutters for a while then roars into life after it’s warmed up. May take a couple of years to warm up is my point. Just hold your nerves & it will come good for all Nio investors.

Buy no matter what earnings is. It’ll be a less than stellar Q2 earnings tomorrow, but if you hold for a year, a measly 2$ drop tomorrow won’t mean much against a $40 stock value in year
There are a few points I raised in this video, and if Li’s promises are correct, plus improvements in their net losses, I think they should have a green day. But I wouldn’t be buying before hand just to sell soon after. I think you’ve gotta be in or out with Nio for the long term

Yeah, I think so. I wouldn’t worry about the right now. If it goes above 30 then what’s the difference really between buying at 11 or 14? Both are going to bring in the big bucks

Don’t sweat the “trade war” too much. China’s domestic EV market is the largest on the planet. They will likely push in the EU after they build their first plant, possibly in the US in several years. EV competition is good...fosters better innovation and strategic partnerships, resulting in a bigger market and more $$ in your portfolio.
Excellent response and I agree. Nio’s focus is clearly heavily centred around China at the moment with Germany and the UK seeming like their next big targets, so a trade war (if it happens) won’t hurt them as much as you may have first thought

NIO is only 1/20 of Tesla market capital, they have the potential to worth at least half of Tesla, meaning 10 times of current value!

If you need the money now, then sell your position. But you may be kicking yourself a year from now. Bullish case is $40 a share. Patience is key.

I agree and disagree Derek. I think you need to make decisions based on your situation for sure. But generally I believe in investing for the long term only. That’s the best success model. So if you like them long term, dropping before climbing really means nothing. But if you don’t believe in their long term success, then they’re a sell now while they’re up
