I do like it when my fellow Britons go native in India. After first comparing Spaniards and Irishment unfavourably to Indians, by the end he's slagging off white Brits and Anzacs in comparison to his sub-continentals. The Indian soldiers of any period is now "We" and his fellow British (but non-Gurkha) rgts are referred to as a rather contemptible "them."
Oh, and GB food's shit, curry's much nicer. This is the best lecture I've ever seen.
"If you are gonna attack a well-entrenched position, who would you rather have with you? 100 Spaniards or 8 Sikhs? Ok, if you were going to open a restaurant, you might want the Spanish, but not for soldiering."
"It's not Muslims that are the problem, it's religious fundamentalism. And those of us who have served in Northern Ireland know they have some pretty rum sects over there too, who are far worse than Al-Qaida. The only difference is the Irish don't blow themselves up. [Pauses to think.] More's the pity."
This guy should have his own tv show.
