Every time I hear this song I get this heavy feeling in my chest and I just think about how connected I felt with all of the characters in this show and there's just this void that this show left when I finished it

Dr. Pheel I was a complete mess when I first saw this show, especially cause it was my senior year of high school and I felt like Tomoya and how he didn't know what to do after graduation but he didn't want to be stuck in the same town.

This is probably the most unique and brilliant composition of the original OST. While the original track with digital voices is okay, the "human overtones" add a grinding sensation to the sound, giving it much more intensity and passion. I get goosebumps listening to it every time. Maeda, you genius.
This piece in a sense feels like one girl is sad but then when the other voices come in and sing at the same time, it gives a feeling of a bunch of people going through the same hardship but supporting eachother through the pain Or maybe I read into it too much
I wish I could be in a loop of life, never truly die, I want to be another person when I die, I want to have a new life. The first 20 years of life are the only ones which truly matter. After that its just boredom. The people you meet, the events that take place in the first 20 years of your life are the ones that count.
Lurkah I beg to differ my friend, to me it's how you steel yourself and adapt. that way you can life your entire life without boredom. but then again I've been around for some time and if I am honest with you, I would never want to live forever, that kind of life is more a curse then a boon and if you go with the saying that I want to be another person then you are no longer "you", you become them and the "you" that was is no more it's the same as death. but oh well everyone is entitled to their own belief.
The creators themselves confirmed that Tomoya died. He died from "broken heart syndrome" if I remember correctly which was shown with him falling into the show cradling Ushio [who can blame the poor guy]. He had collected enough light orbs for his wish to be granted which was to have a happy life with his family. The girl granted this and, in doing so, she herself died and was reborn as the new-world Ushio.
I guess this can be combined with the fact he was malnourished. He's been in the house with Ushio for at least a few days, it shows the fridge when he's getting water for Ushio, which has run out of food. He hadn't taken out the trash, because you see trash bags inside the house. And when he stands up, he's about to fall over, and has hazy vision when he looks outside. You can safely say as a result of a combination of malnourishment, and the loss of hope and the sudden shock recieved from Ushio's death, Tomoya has also died. Thinking about that makes me cry :(
What I really want to know is...what happened to everyone after Tomoya died? Especially Kyou and Tomoyo? Or what about Nagisa’a parents-losing all those people, just imagine how that eternally-positive couple would have had to cope with after learning that all their lasting hope has faded away.

Been about 7 years since I watched Clannad, still love it to death. This is by far the anime that moved me the most and changed me as a person. Words cannot describe my love for this show. Thank you Key and thank you Jun Maeda.
I don’t even know the context behind this song yet it makes me feel unbearably sad, a sadness that feels like your sinking in a cold pond in a giant forest sinking down down down into the dark. Sad yet accepting as salty tears mix with the cold forest water. Eyes close as the water fades into empty darkness as you sink far away from the surface light. You can’t feel, see, or hear anything now, only the empty decent into the well of the earth.
I cry everytime I listen to any of the songs from clannad, your lie in april and kimi no na wa💀🥺 honestly clannad has changed the way I view my life and the world. I am so happy I decided to watch it. Wonderful show 😭
such a great coming of age story, i was at a point where i wanted to stop the days flashing bc i was scared of growing up from simpler times, but i realized that time is just something we all go through.
This song reminds me when someone I was really into left me, she just said that she was tired of pretending. After that I spent my days drinking and skipping college, taking drugs and just throwing my life away, I failed the semester bc of it and started hooking up with many girls so I could forget the pain and the memories, I really thought that it was a mistake meeting her and falling in love with her. Now I’m doing a bit better after going to therapy and taking meds, but my emotions have been completely numbed after that experience.
I watched clannad when I was younger and it is still my favorite anime till this day I was young and I didn’t realize how fast time flew by there is a lot of things I wish I did , people I wish were still alive , places I wish were still here today, days I wish I could get back , I’m now 18 and a senior in high school and I only have a few months left in school , and I didn’t have the best high school life I wish I could be a freshman again , but when I was a freshman I was saying I wish I was done with high school , it’s pretty crazy how time went by so fast , the flow of time doesn’t stop it keeps going , but at least my senior year is going better then the three previous years of high school

This anime is a light in the darkness, a reminder that there will always be bumps in life, but in the end, it shows how we will find happiness in death.

Is it just me, or did anyone else think, throughout watching the Clannad series, that Kyou looks more like she could be Kotomi's sister rather than Ryou's twin? First off, Kyou and Ryou have different eye colours. I know it's anime, and there is no logic when it comes to anime, but twins rarely have different eye colours. Second of all, Kyou, Ryou and Kotomi all practically have the same hair colour. Perhaps Ryou even has a slightly darker shade of purple. But still. My theory? Either Kyou and Kotomi are sisters and they were separated at birth, and Ryou is adopted, *or* Kyou, Ryou and Kotomi are actually triplets, and Kotomi was given away at birth because her original family, the Fujibayashis, couldn't afford to keep three children at once, so they gave the youngest triplet, Kotomi, up for adoption and she was taken in by a rich couple (her parents in the series). It's a really stretched fan theory, but I made it up myself and I like it XD
um, they aren't identical twins, they are fraternal twins. they don't act alike either, in case you hadn't noticed, and have way different personalities. actually, i thought that Kyou and Tomoyo looked and acted a lot alike. especially when Tomoyo was in "fight mode". they were both tomboys, but i guess their eyes were different colors, too ;P
Decided to boot up the VN after 4 years of buying it, I've already watched the anime several years before that so I wasn't excited to jump in, but man, that intro was so good! I've ended up spending +90 hours reading through this masterpiece. Needless to say, I admire it more now that I'm an adult than when I watched it in my teenage, many things just meant a lot to me now

I pretty much think this isn't the correct name of this track. The correct name is "Inside a Cradle Overflowing with Light" by Mabinogi. I think it's included in other CD like a remix CD or something.
