the original version doesnt give me as many feels as it used bc ive listened to it so many times, but this just hit me like listening to it for the first time right after i'd finished watching the show
When I first watched Clannad, I was JUST getting into anime. Being one of the first titles I had ever watched, it kinda shaped my whole Otaku life to begin with. I was going through a sad time in my life. I was having girlfriend problems and was suffering from depression. Every night, I would stay up really late and watch anime. Clannad really reached out to me: It taught me how to enjoy little things for what they are, and how to love truly and deeply with honesty and care.
I'm sorry to hear that your life has been rough, and I'm glad to see Clannad reaching out to people with life, and more importantly, people reaching back with hope. I love anime too, but be sure to get some sleep every once in while, alright?
It's interesting that you say that this is one of the few animes you've watched, since Clannad usually inspires people to become anime fans and watch more. As for my experience with the story, I thought the characters were realistic, and their life circumstances and comraderie even more so. I loved being able to experience overcoming life difficulties that I had never been through and grow alongside the characters as their lives, hardships, and happiness ultimately progressed.
Man you got to love Clannad. Seriously. I'm a HUGE anime enthusiast and have watched hundreds of anime titles. But Clannad is and always will remain my favorite.
It was probably the most moving and touching anime I had ever watched. The music was a bit better then other anime OST's and soundtracks. It also was my most relatable anime I had ever watched... Not only that, but it's probably one of the very few anime's that uses a VERY VERY awesome technique to their animations: Emotional buildups and drops. Like Dubstep: Buildup and drop. Except, it's emotions that are building up, not rudeboi bass ;)
Although it is not my favourite anime. I put it in very high regards it is my second favourite visual novel of all time the my third favourite sol after both natsume and sangesu no lion amazing anime with so much power that the aftermath of that show is enough to make you cry
I wasn't looking for a recommendation when I asked that question, as even though it wasn't implied by my statements, I've seen Clannad about three times now. What I've noticed is that people have watched Clannad and not put it at the top of their favorites list, or simply like it "because it's really sad and made me cry :( " Everyone has their own reasons as to why Clannad remains at the top, however I wanted to see how insightful those reasons are for someone who has watched hundreds of titles.
I have a question. So I have the three Clannad soundtracks, but I found this song, but only the 1/4 vocal and 3/4 instrumental version. Where exactly did you find this? I know it plays in the anime but I just really couldn't find it until I typed in vocal version.

OP, this is track 7, titled "In a Cradle Overflowing with Light", and it's on the CD called [CLANNAD arrange album "MABINOGI"]
My heart can feel the moments of Tomoya's...
So beautifull...
Just hearing this...makes me remember the ending of Clannad After Story...

This is simply beautiful! So touching. I'm sharing my room with my little brother, I have a hard time holding in those tears >.
Kinda noticeable transition but remarkably better than the original.

That being said, is Clannad at the top for you / is Clannad your favorite anime of all time? Specifically why or why not?
It is really emotional, I wish sometimes I hadn't watched it just for the sake of my weak heart.

You stole the words right out of my mouth. However, what reasons to do you have for saying that Clannad is better than all the rest?
Oh, really?
