  • We are happy to share with you the hiking journey we went on in July 2020.
Inspired by a nice hike we did with some friends, we found a very long hiking trail called “La via Francigena” which actually starts in England and finishes in the South of Italy. We decided to take a section of it through the north-west parts of Italy to explore the areas. Walking through the fields, valleys and small villages we started to get a feel for what it could be like living there.

This is lovely. My husband's home town Pontremoli, is on the Via Francigena and whenever we visit we can see the hikers and pilgrims passing through.

The subtly intense drama of "La via Fancigena" starts off with a hazy monologue from Mike, one of the more prominent characters. Through barely distinguishable grunts he explains that he has decided to put his sleeping mattress inside of his sleeping bag (rather than outside like a normal person) and thus we are presented with the classic theme of descent into madness. The main protagonist Martina desperately tries to keep his sanity intact as they travel across the italian countryside, going through rainstorms and forests without meeting friends along the way. On the whole, its a wholesome journey that wholly holds up. 10/10.

Oh Esteemed follower. Thank you for your this in depth review and the fair scoring of our screenplay. Please note that I also had a bamboo liner cocoon surrounding the sleeping mat, and myself inside that inner cocoon. Layers upon layers makes you sleep deep, inside the layers. We didnt meet that many ppl i guess.. But i remember that we met one man washing a dog by a well. We were waiting to drink from that very same water. He kept washing and washing, so finally we started chatting about his life and so on, many great stories were shared, and i remember laughing about how much shampoo he used! Oh my the poor dog! he didnt even want to be cleaned haha :D Then we met an old man walking with a stick back and forth to his apartment etc etc. This happened while we were drinking in another well, he said something to us that i didnt understand, but i will never forget him! In italy people are always kind, so it's really great. We have so much to share and we need more followers like you. Spread the word and let people know about the cocoon technique! Looking forward to your next review! :D Come visit us in italy!
