I’ve shortened knitting needles before too! Of course when I did it, it was because I accidentally snapped a 2.25mm needle 😅 I used a nail file since that’s what I had close by and it worked great!

When you talked another time about your relationship with money and that you need to heal it, it really resonated with me. I personally always feel like I don't have enough and therefore can't afford what is not necessary. But for me this also applies to my abilities, this feeling like I don't have something in me that is interesting enough to be shared or good enough to get paid for. Hang in there! You're both working so hard and building your own home is such a huge project, as you said it's normal to get overwhelmed - take your breaks and confide in each other to get the weight of your shoulders and lift each other up. You're not alone :) It's tough right now and doing things properly takes time and effort but in the case of the fences you might never have to do it again ;) I hope you learn not to feel shame about the work you do. It's equally important even if he's doing a big project and you're doing "little" tasks. Only because you are doing those necessary tasks he can take the time to work on the big project. Your work is as important as his ❤

In Israel the heat is also super challenging... I also can not imagine wearing anything in the summer that has animal fiber in it. Even DK weight yarn is optional only like if I am in an air conditioned room but then the moment you go outside you want to die. Very challenging... Hang in there! 😊
