You mentioned that you didn't know what the two things in the bathroom roof where:
The one on the right is ventilation for outflowing air. In toilets, bathrooms and showers there always is ventilation for sucking out air. The idea is to prevent odors or humidity spreading to other rooms. Airflow also helps to dry the room and preventing mold to build up.
The other flat one is just a cover plate for a electrical junction box.

Hi Nora, Good afternoon, please do I have to find accommodation and pay for it while waiting on VFS date? Also do I need the accommodation receipt to show at VFS?
That’s your choice to make. However, getting an apartment could take time and once you are given an apartment and a date to move it, even though you’re not yet in the country, you’d still be paying the monthly rent.

I’ve known how to ride a bike like since I was a kid. News flash, that palm oil wrapping is scam. They’d still see it and collect it.

@@chikagrace5539 got it when I was still in Nigeria but I was yet to get my permit then so I cancelled. You can get an apartment in Finland from any part of the world you’re in.

No idea really. It’s the same in all the apartments I’ve been to
its for sound and heat isolation. This apartment building is from the 70s - new apartments often have just one, thicker door.

No you can’t. You must be a student.

@@techteam3111 I really have no idea, but I know tourists use Airbnb, guesthouses and hotels. I’m not sure you can an apartment because you need to sign the apartment contract, light water etc and you might need to have a social security number which I’m not sure you can get as a mere tourist.

Isn't life complicated and challenging enough without always trying to be something else that comes natural for you.
Easy for me to say, in my youth I was doing similar things as you. Though I newer needed a mirror or bathroom to cry.
I’m not fighting my natural hair, and there is definitely nothing unnatural about me choosing to style my hair whatever way I choose to style it. I like to switch styles and that is okay too🤷♀️

As long as you enjoy it, it is ok.
Unfortunately sometimes people seem to become obsessed about their hair and maintaining and changing it starts to take unreasonably much. I kind of understand the attraction of playing with different styles. I just have seen situations where it seems to have become too much and become eventually harmful for the personality and life, which has made me more careful and doubtful about fashions in general and also about individuals playing with styles.

I would recommend not investing time and money to home decorations and interior designs while you are a student and having other more relevant things to concentrate on.
The only exception to this - in my view would - would be if your home is having a negative effect on your mental state and thus becoming harmful. Keeping home clean, less cluttered and functional is usually enough for most people.
Also investing to get more privacy, hmm.. That sense of need for more privacy can tell that you jyst don't get along well enough with your neighbors and don't trust them.
There could be other ways to improve that, but of course moving away to more isolated apartment is simple solution, though it comes with monetary and sometimes with some cost to social skills.
Finns are often mentioned as needing exceptional individual private space. There is some truth to that. But then on the other hand Finns havem and prefer, community style shared house in many situations. Student housing has been part if that. It is fading away at least in student housing since students seem to have become less tolerant, having less socal skills and as a result of that preferring more isolated living. Living closely together with different kinds of people, even from other cultures, take some effort and skills. There is also definitely some learning curve to experience. And it doesn't always work out well with all people. But these sometimes difficult experiences I would count as important learning opportunities for for many students, who are mostly young adults with not much life experience.
I am not moving out of my apartment because I don’t get along with my neighbors or whatever it is you mentioned. I have my reasons besides, people move apartments for different reasons an e.g could be for comfort, or staying closer to their office. People can decide to do what they want with their money, it’s their choice, it’s what makes them happy and it’s okay.🤷♀️
Life is too short to not be happy.
