- The Modular Rail Project is a set of train pieces designed by myself and Barney_III to make large-scale train lines and infrastructure to your worlds.
You can use these by taking schematics of each piece and then building them using a schematicannon once you have supplied enough materials and gunpowder.

This is awesome! Thank you!! As a little feedback, 45 degree curves are not used because of how trains work. Maybe add some smoother and longer curves would be a great addition to the pack. Thanks again for your work!
I think tunnel pieces and new style variations would be cool
These pieces look great! I might have to give this a download, but it’s inspiring me to make some trackwork schematics for closer to the ground and wooden trestles.
This is a great idea to start for my own style as well. I will download the world to see and adapt it. It looks amazing

AMAZING! I will definitely find my self using these pieces! My only issue is that I usually build British steam era stuff so it might not fit in with it, but it works!
Giving me a few ideas. I tend to tailor my builds to the terrain, but having a preset look/style certainly would help.

Excellent framework, thank you! I might consider adding shafts into the substructure to allow the modules to also transmit rotational force from a central power supply, without too much redesign.

You know I came up with a concept for something like this but never got past the drawing board. Very cool to see someone actually put something together.
My design was for a different purpose, as I had Minecraft Transit Railway and about 4000 blocks to traverse. The plan was a self-building contraption that would rotate end-to-end and place blocks, but yeah I never got round to anything beyond small experiments

- Spiral
- expandable stations
- an |X| Crossing
- slope
- U-Turn
- (maybe some leveled rails like on the bottom side a track from north to south and on the top side east to west)
Cool. Are the pieces vertically stackable? Like can you have multiple levels of rails?

It's amazing, will you adapt that with the addon Intereactive for rails that can turn and switch ?
The turns seem a little sharp for some of them, you can turn up the distance for turns in the mod's config and then make some really nice looking sweeping turns

I would quite like to see a turning loop piece, it would be my alternative to the buffer pieces don't get me wrong I do like them, but I would rather use a turning loop.
I would love to see a piece with stations on a bypass track so that if a train is stopped at the station, like for player use, the automated train can go by.
I have a couple ideas, a ground connction and alternative to blackstone and cobbled deepslate?

These track pieces are absolutely gorgeous!! Sadly I cannot use them as my trains are 5 blocks wide and I build my tracks with a 3 block gap in between the tracks
I had the same issue just remove the existing 2 lanes of track and replace with one lane in the middle

Not at a computer so I can’t check now but are some of these pieces one track instead of two? I like my trains wider than this works with.
Maybe make different versions from different materials. I would like to see a wooden one. More expensive version would be nice too
I planned on this, but this was about 30 hours of building in creative to design all of this, might be a while before an update to any of this
This video game an idea. What if create had a schematic book where you can store multiple schematics in groups or paste multiple schematics at the same time, plus every schematic can be copy pasted without the need to place file in the folder. It would be like a schematic book from factorio

Not to say that ascetics arnt importent, but i would like to see another version of this with the aim of minimizing the resource cost for a more realistic feel to it, seeing as railroads would almost always minimize the cost of laying track part in due to how they offten had to lay so much of it, that small margins really started to add up.
So if I understand this correctly, the only blocks being used for these are vanilla and create-based blocks to avoid potential mod issues? cuz Id like to inject something like this onto a server I play with and it would be nice if I didn't have to do too much tweaking to make it work.
Yes, everything here is vanilla minecraft or base create mod, should work in any pack!

Hey You, know you can upload only schematics without save and share to download? schematics is saved in [Curse Forge]\Instances\[Modpack Name]\schematics
Train tunnels? Or even subway tunnels?
have you considered just giving us the schematic files as well?
I chose to do a world download since it would have been 25 odd schematics, and i didnt want to do that since not everyone would understand the naming system i would give to them, i figured it best to give the world so people could give them a naming system they understood
